John/Convette SEMA/Optima Ultimate Street Car challenge, 2013 this Saturday 9 th Nov

Hello fellow SQ peeps , as you all know John and wife Tara and his awesome 88 Conquest are here in Las vegas just now for the SEMA show and to compete in the Invitational OPTIMA street car challenge at the Spring mountain racetrack in Pahrump this coming Saturday .

John tell's me the car is running STRONG and just as important is stopping just as well to and he's happy with his car with the OPTIMA Challenge coming up in 3 days time.

At the moment the "built not bought" Conquest is on display at the convention center at the S.E.M.A show and a big hit with the crowds.

Anyhoo the point of this post is for all of you Starion/Conquest owners across the U.S to join me in wishing John all our best wishes and great success on Saturday as he continues to "fly the flag" for our obscure 80's Japanese sports car , you know he's going to give it 100 PER CENT !

Seeing this car in person at Pigeon Forge was amazing.. john and his wife both seemed like great people, didnt really get a chance to talk to them as i spent to much time drooling over the car..

Ah.... go 'ole SEMA. This show is going to give John and SQ a large amount of visibility for sure. I remember when we did a booth and helped build a show bike. We gave away posters and our booth was flooded all week. This tiny 10x20 booth cost us $10k when it was all said and done.

 

Good luck to Convette.....Go Johnny Go!! Always dreamed of taking one of our SQ to put up in our SEMA booth....but man that show is expensive

I asked him about that, and he said that there were TV crews there to record it all. I know this Optima Invitational was shown on Speed Channel the past few years, but now that Speed is no more, I don't know if that means it will be on Fox Sports or some other channel. John said he's let us know once he knew.
