  6. Sometimes the "built not bought" mantra gets under my skin. When people hear I bought it, sometimes the perception is I bought a race car, not a roller. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into it after I bought it. Thanks for being gracious after my rude remarks. Eric left a great foundation for me to work with and I`ve started another rebuild. But, it`ll never run like the car in the link. Did you know Eric`s first build was dubbed "Screamin` Eagle"?
  7. Love this. Yea, I bought it. All I had to do was dig in my deep pockets, pull out some cash, and go racing. Bought not built!(very sarcastic) BTW, I`ve always given Eric credit.
  8. Happy birthday......the years are getting shorter, aren`t they.

  10. I`ve been considering this and didn`t have the balls to do it until I saw this. I have a buddy doing most all of the work and he pushed for it too. So thanks to both of you for the inspiration. http://i449.photobucket.com/albums/qq216/express741/sale084.jpg http://i449.photobucket.com/albums/qq216/express741/sale083.jpg http://i449.photobucket.com/albums/qq216/express741/sale079.jpg

  16. I understand and respect your positions. I`m not sure the respect is mutual, but the one thing I think we can agree on is that it`s a double edge sword. We have completely different paradigms on these topics. We probably had different backgrounds growing up. There was never a gun in my father`s house while I was growing up. But, at the same time, guns were common in the community. My high school parking lot had lots of pick up trucks with rifles in the racks of the rear window. Some weren`t even locked. No big deal. It`s just not that casual anymore.
  17. Your spin does not change the fact that guns are dangerous. If you don`t own a gun then buy one, your chances of getting shot go up.......no matter how careful you are. A person can do harm with sticks, stones, rocks and knives. Guns just do a better job because they are more lethal(dangerous). It`s the very reason you don`t choose a stick to defend yourself with. You are advocating an arms race between the citizens of this country. It would cause more injury and death just because of the increased number of weapons. When there`s more weapons for good guys, there`s also more weapons for bad guys. You seem to think I`m a liberal that wants to take your guns. Not true. Your the one that wants to change gun laws, not me. I demand the right to bear arms and protect myself, just like you. I just think all the fear mongering is unnecessary......especially with a low crime rate. Bearing arms is not just a right. It`s a awesome responsibility and would be a heavy burden for many people if made mandatory.
  18. If the public is desensitized by movies, wouldn`t public executions desensitize even more? If there is no gun in my house and I go buy one, don`t my chances of getting shot go up? The kid that used a knife to attack other kids didn`t kill anybody. But, if he chose a gun................. The gun debate is really off topic for this thread.
  19. I would also like to see executions held publicly. I think it would lead to a total ban on capitol punishment. The public doesn`t want to see it. That`s why it`s behind closed doors now. In this case, they closed the blind so the witnesses couldn`t see the condemned man being tortured as he was dieing. You say that technology has greatly decreased errors with conviction. They have not been eliminated. If you or a loved one was erroneously convicted, would you change your mind or just make the sacrifice for your beliefs in the death penalty. It`s an easy decision when it`s some anonymous person you don`t know. Having a gun in every household is just crazy. Gun ownership or non-ownership should be up to each citizen. This is what freedom is all about. The more guns there are in circulation, the chances of one getting in the wrong hands are greater. There would be more people that are jealous, angry, vengeful, deranged, and suicidal with guns. I think it`s important to understand how this botched execution happened. Most the rest of the world sees capital punishment as barbaric. For years, the drugs used for executions were purchased from European drug companies. These companies quit selling the drugs to us because we used them for executions. We had to come up with different drugs for the state to kill people on our behalf. Some of them don`t work too well. It`s not my intentions to belittle or inflame anybody on this issue.
  20. The word "execution" is used for several things. It could be about how well a military plan or sports play is "executed". In this case it`s about the execution of killing somebody. In that sense, it was most definitely botched or poorly executed. Some responses seem bloodthirsty to me. Suggesting we do what third world countries do is just backwards thinking IMO. I don`t believe the criminal justice system is completely fair. Innocent people are found guilty all the time. You can`t bring a live back once it`s been taken. I don`t care much for capital punishment. But, I`m also a hypocrite. If I hear of an execution of somebody that I`m convinced is guilty, it doesn`t really bother me.....crazy.
  21. Yes, but they are a very old. http://www.streetfire.net/video/2-years-in-12-minutes_146473.htm http://www.streetfire.net/video/07-compilation_146161.htm
