Raise suspension 4 or so ", Skinnyer rims and tires (mountain rated snow tires) make weight box distribute weight in said box and take out and test in slick conditions. Make adjustments to box and weight till you get it just right. Maybe adjust you mix of antifreeze, add winter washer fluid and winter wiper blades. Add MRE, blanket, flare (mainly for starting fire) shovel and other various supplies. hat gloves and change of clothing. Turn the boost down

Gas is total junk now. Drain it, and refill in summer is best bet.

IE BLOWS..... heck if you want IE use firefox and download the IE tab plugin and run IE in firefox with the IE tab. Personally just don't use IE at all.

Well that's an epic deal then. The only thing I found that blizzaks had was a higher speed rating then other winter tires which most are rated for 70 and below. And in my exp you really don't want to go much faster then that with true mountain rated winters. As long as your not going wider then a 215 you should be fine if they throw snow and don't cake up, and are softer and don't get hard in extreme cold. Even grab just a bit of weight like 2 bags kitty liter. Then if you do get stuck you can use kitty litter for traction.

Need assistance dealing with rental company claiming damage

They are not charging you for the light, they are charging you to remove and reinstall the light. You need to learn to read like you should have read the contract you signed. In all likely hood PDR is going to be at BEST 400 450 so really not that far off. If it were me I would be requiring an edge to edge repaint, so more then likely your going to have to live with the respray. + not sure if that is a crease or not but if creased PDR will not work. The loss of use your lucky it's that low, they could charge you full kilt on loos of use while the truck sits each day waiting for this to get sorted out. I mean really man up and take some responsibility here why would you ever secure stuff where you have to climb on the truck roof? At worst just stand in the door jam. -
If your going to replace with braided you might as well cut the bano bolts out of the line and use the correct adapters

I had a real hard time finding shops that could mandrel bend 3". You will have to hit up big rig places till you find one that can mandrel bend 3" -
Where to get engine built for performance?
jszucs replied to 88351wtsi's topic in Advanced Virtual Mechanic
be cautious, the sending unit, and related are hard to come by. -
You don't look like your that low in your sig pic to be scraping. You might need to take a look at / rework some of the hangers / hang points on your exhaust to tuck better. They could also be causing vibration and drone. With a bit more restrictive muffler you could be just sending the right frequency at that RPM causing drone. I would 100% get that bend out of there if you can. Adding a resonator is a great idea to change the sound. Might try a different muffler designed to sound deaden VS a glass pack style muffler.

You guys ARE the reason this site is here...... Mad respect and props for that. You all made a car I was told as a child / teen by my dad that I would never own...... MINE. So Thanks. -
what internet browser are you running? Are you running any scrip blockers? Sounds like a browser problem or scrips getting blocked.

as long as they are not rubbing on the inside you should be good in the back. Bolt one up and see. As far as blizacks there over priced and ware out quicker then others I have tried. I like to run a directional wedge cut in the front like a winterforce or similar directional pattern. They tend to cut into the snow better for turning, and I like to run a non directional with lots and lots of the squiggle cuts (that's what really grips on the snow and ice) on the back. While you can put directional on the rear the directional tread and the wedge cut blocks really cut down on surface area for rear traction. Forgot what the current rear snows I have are. You will want to play around with weight, not only how much but where it's located. I would start out putting it as close as possible to over the rear tires.

Well if you look at the notes R&I is remove and install and they are just documenting labor. Why didn't you just pop the dent out before you returned it? Did you go over the truck when you returned it? Sign off on the damage ECT? Go up there and see the damage in person and just pop it back out from the inside if not creased and tell them what dent. -
Happy B-day Jimmy

How about the clips for the cowl? Don't they always break and are NLA?
-
Simple stuff for this car is NLA Arches are really not that bad even if you had to weld in some metal and use a roller on them.
-
OMG yes and for the LOVE OF GOD do not mix them together, toss them in a bag together ECT, each in there own respective bottle. Don't even chance it with the M-Sun boxes..... they have hissy fits about them being intermingled in any way. My 86 year old grandfather almost caught a beat down when we were traveling for a wedding because they were all mixed in a M-Sun box.... like yeah this old dude is dealing blood thinners and water pills.... people be bumpn them water pills like crazy you know.
-
Yeah I wish I was there too..... but feeling great that we got Shelby there. Hope to see lots of pics....and video..... I know I can be the Devils Advocate and stir the pot at times here but I really do love all of you..... even dare I say it.... Cal
