ESIrType?
I know this post is old, but I'm a little behind with everything. My car is still really rough tuned! cashsaudio
holy crap advance that timing more like 20degrees at 250kpa also on the map change the kpa in the 95-120 range and have that part spread out more thats too much of a jump when you start boosting
Indiana
holy crap advance that timing more like 20degrees at 250kpa This has only been tuned up to around 180 kpa and it runs a bit rich he isn't up that high yet and that map is meaningless without first knowing his trigger offset and his base timing then you would have to assume he is at normal operating temps when he runs it a little more info needs to be added to each of these posts before there is enough info that anyone could use it is possible to setup the offset and base timing so the table is what the timing light sees so you don't have to do some quick math in your head everytime you look at it and if so you should state that
eeaston
Yes, unless you state otherwise it is assumed that you have tuned your trigger angle so that the advance map reflects actual timing, and that you have a zero Trim value. Evil_Betty
I'm running Megasquirt 2 v3.0 w/ MS Relay Board Firmware version 2.890 Magna MPI w/ stock FPR Stock cam - stock turbo - 3" Full exhaust - stock intercooler w/ ends modded. MS running Direct Coil Control Stock Distributor running through MSD 8509 Magnetic Signal Stabilizer Stock Dist. mod : Dist Mod. No idle control, yet 65lb injectors AEM UEGO wideband Oh, can't forget the dumb, super loud TurboXS bov. I'm spoiled by my WRX's quiet recirculating bov. The MSQ file provided below is pretty basic. If you want table snapshots, let me know and I'll try. The car fires up quickly and idles well. I have only taken it on one very short trip down the road, so it is not tuned for upper RPM or acceleration. Here is my .msq file :: Megasquirt file Here are some pics of the electrical and vacuum hookups. Some I made, some are from other people. The ones by me I haven't fully updated since last year, but I am in process of getting them updated and posted. Use at your own risk for now! MPI pics -Justin **If I'm missing anything or you want to know more, PM and I'll add it in here. Edited June 17, 2009 by Evil_Betty

AGC
Well Guys, I'm currently trying to tune my 86 MS2 MPI Quest, and was looking for some help myself. I've been reading up Megasquirt II for the last 6 mo. and I'm still "flying by the seat of my pants". I got it Started and Idling great, but Accel is giving me HELL!!! Trial and Error is paying off though. As for sharring setup/map info I don't have a prob with that as long as everyone knows that this is "Experimental" and to be "Use at one's own risk". I don't want to be blamed for someone toasting thier Starquest. Setup: 86 Conquest 5 Spd w/ Stage 3 6-Puck Fidenza 240mm F/W Clearwater Non-Jet Head w/ Solid Rockers Schenider 274 Cam FIP MPI Intake w/75lb Inj and 3" Inlet Hybrid T3/T4 AR 50 Turbo w/ MBC Megasquirt II v3.0 w/ MS2-Extra 2.0.1 code...currently Ford EDIS-4 Complete Ignition Inovate LC-1 WB O2 All GM Sensors (TPS,Water,Air,3 Bar Map) Factory IC w/ 2.5 piping to TB 3" S.S. Exhaust My Fuel VE was Interpolated (scaled to higher resolution), from the FIP FC-1 Controller that came programmed for the Quest. I scalled it down 22ms(points) to give me a 12.7 to 13.4 A/F at Idle (950-1k RPM) Req_Fuel 7.4 16.5 Deg @ 1K Idle, Trigger Offset (-4.5) (MSII sync with Timming light) ie. 16.5 deg on Balancer. Tomorrow I'll be working on the Accel, Timming Map, Fuel Pressure, and maybe the A/F Map. I have 3 weeks while I recover from a Hernia Surgery to get my Quest driveable before I go back to work........so I'll be at it alldayeveryday till then. I'll gladly share my Trials and Tribulations to those interested. Edited July 20, 2009 by AGC
