  6. Dad's the man! I rebuilt my engine twice since Christmas(broken pistons from detonation)and Dad had everything I needed, plus hard to find Oem items with excellent prices and shipping
  7. Hey Guys, I'm looking for an 4-speed Quest Widebody. No Engine or Tranny no problem. Must have good Cab and Rear. Fenders, hood, front ends, can be replaced, but I don't have the ability to replace Quarter panel etc. Please, no Rust Bombs. I live in Houston, TX but willing travel somewhat for a good Quest.

  9. I have a Stage 2 240mm Composite Kit with about 1k miles. Worked great never slipped...and I drive super hard. I Switched to a Stage 3 6-puck, only because I had a brand new one and wanted to see the difference between the 2, and never went back. I thought about going back to it because the Stg. 3 grabs hard on takeoff for a daily driver...but I've gotten use to it by now. $130 Shipped........unless you live in Tokyo; BTW I'm leaving to go work Offshore 5/15/10 (Saturday), and will be back on land 3 weeks later if your interested.   11. Yea I know what you mean. I have a leaking 5-speed(input shaft seal housing). I pulled my 5-speed 6 times in 3 weeks and still couldn't stop the leak. I hate Gear Oil I have (4) 4-speeds in the garage that I can't use because the 86 tunnel is to narrow to house the 4-speed. It's good to see you guys embracing the 4-speed. I never imagined going back to the 5-speed, but I just couldn't resist owning an 86 with 64k miles(now 93k due to daily driver). BTW HI GUYS!!!!! I've been away for awhile doing secret service Quest mods......just kidding Actually, I went Hurricane4, EDIS, Megasquirt2 v3, then (2) broken and (1) 2" dia burnt pistons Seems like some of you guys have done the 4-speed mod with good results. Just remember to set your(2)Brake Bands(torque to 132 in/lb Caution!!! NOT FT/LB. after installing a modded C/B. I know it's been a long time since the mod release, but last week, I noticed an error in one of my diagrams. The placement of the Pressure Modifier Shim needs to be between the Spring and the Valve, not behind the Valve. It won't (if installed incorrect)cause any damage, just decrease shift firmness...regardless of 1,2 or 3 Stages. Anyway, I'll be around more often now, and be happy to help if I can, with any 4-Speed, MPI, Megasquirt2, or EDIS questions. Keep in mind, I'm not a 4-speed Guru, but I've learned somethings from Shelby and NOTAV6. KEEP UP THE QUEST!!! AGC

  14. Well, after fighting the Rain and Kids Birthday party I finnaly tore my Block down only to find a cracked Piston and a scratched #2 Cylinder. I have to machine and buy new Pistons to get my Quest online. But, I would still like to meet you guys and hangout....I'll bring the Spirit of my Quest in the form of Pics

  16. Good polarity= if you measure positive voltage (DVM, DC 200mV mode, relative to GND) when approaching a ferromagnetic object (like a wrench) to the sensor. (and negative voltage when moving away).
  17. Like the Megasquirt ECU's, the light flashes once at POWER ON, to signify that the ECU has power. That's what happenes when I power up the FIP FC-1, and Ignition Pro-1 ECU's that came with my kit. I can pass on my notes I used to wire in my MSII in my 86 TSI that had a 88 ECU. I used the Factory ECU wiring to patch in everything under the hood. I also have the FC-1 pinout if you don't have it.
  18. Looks like I didn't fry my MSII. Seems my PS burned out durring Code swapping and loaded garbage to the MSII. I reloaded the code and everything seems to be working fine. :jumping0045:
  19. Anyone have the pinout for the FIP IG-1 Ignition controller? I do have the pinout for the FC-1 Fuel Controller. Yesterday I fried the pwoer supply in my MSII Controller...and I need to use the FIP Controllers that came with my FIP Hurricane MPI kit to get my Quest back on the road till I repair the MSII.
  20. attachment=2252:Image124.jpg] I mounted mine where the Evap. Canister used to be. Made a bracket with 1" Alum angle....worked out Great! as you can see, I notched the angle to rest against the Fact. bracket so it won't drop...simple and quick.
  21. I'm running MS2 2.890 code. I can only datalog in the Driveway....my laptop crashed and died :lightingzapA: Today I'm installing the interior A/F, Oil Pressure, Tach, and Water Temp Gauges, and I'll Datalog the Accel in a new thread.
