  1. As you should! I mean were talkin cars with zero parts support and even less research! You should feel horrible for trying to get what you want out of your project! How dare you share info on a web forum.
  2. May need somesort of Baro Correction. Honestly, Ive never seen a SDS car make good power or stay together lol.
  3. Look at your AFR saw a 13.0AFR @ 18psi note in there.
  4. sorry. Density Altitude. Do you get crazy changes from day to day?
  5. gap will cause a miss. I missed that your on MAFT. TD06 turbine should be plenty. Looks laggy on the graph. Is it that slow to spool on the street?
  6. Sorry, missed the links. High boost pull is pretty lean at peak tq. Rich up top
  7. Unless your blowing the spark out (miss fire) while boosting, theres no reason to regap. I agree with Harry, those are good numbers for the mods. What was the A/F during the pull? If its a little rich (safe) youll give up a couple HP. If your detonating the computer will pull ignition timing and youll lose somemore HP. Id leave it where its at. Good job
  8. My "1.4" rockers multiplied more like a 1.38 or something. fyi
  9. Heres the problem with cams. A custom cam can only be so custom. They use a lobe master. All they can do is see if they can get close to what you want using the masters they have available. If you had a company, likely small and not super profitable, and someone requested a cam that in you opinion would not work well, would you be happy to stamp your name on it and send it out the door? What they did is not right Mach. Schneider does the same garbage (knowing or unknowing). Thing is, 99% of people dont check them. Sounds like a good business model. It should work like this, cust: Im looking for a cam with this spec xxx shop: let me check what we can do shop: okay, based on our masters, we can offer thisxxx or this xxx to get you close. Been through 4 cams with schneider, all incorrect. They werent happy to know I was looking. If you call a company and ask for a cam, and they dont counter or explain their masters, they arent worth your time. If you arent chasing some master cam that unlocks all the power of the 2.6, it sure is a lot of hassle. I also have a cam sitting in my shop, $4XX wrapped in it.....Didnt make any power.......Just another casualty in the pursuit. Cams are voodoo.
  10. If your constantly changing your tune and its not your map, Its time for a new ECU. Whats the DA swing like up there?
  11. No, that was strictly pump gas. That was before I went to my meth addiction. why were so far apart? Well I live in TX and you live as a toy makin elf for ol St Nick. Also you have SDS............. Isnt that a disease? Starion Death Syndrome? Or.....Im me and you are you.....an elf with magic reindeer to afraid to go click click click......lol No tellin. Lots of causes. How are you monitoring knock? How do you know its knocking? Have you been on a dyno? Not for a shootout, but invest the time and money to really evaluate things. Strap it down at 10am and dont come back off til something gives or 1am. Leave and do it again. The day of those numbers, I made like 15 pulls. Everything worked out. Other times, Ive been on rollers making 20, 30 pulls because things seemed off to me. Just because mine ran more timing doesnt mean yours needs it. we have different engines. Do you have a timing map?
  12. Now that i think about it, mine was on 92oct. Thats the best we really had around here. All 91 now.
  13. Where are you pulling EGT from? Id close up the plugs. When I ran 8's they liked mid .02X's anytime I was over 20psi. Are the ground straps asking for a colder plug? I ran BPR8es plugs on straight 93 pump gas, 402whp/405wtq @ 20psi, 20deg adv, back in 2010 or 2011 on 8.0:1's. No ignition breakup with .025 gap. When you say 24 deg retard, it means nothing without a stated base timing number as well..... why would you want 7.0? I love 8.6.
  14. ^ huh Goodluck BC Might look into hydrodipping as well. Not sure if its very profitable or not though.
  15. Have 2 Flexible PS Line sets ready to go! $185 Shipped http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh538/sqperformance/FUNK%20LAB/Power%20Steering%20Lines/ps_zpsq84wjqgj.jpg http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh538/sqperformance/FUNK%20LAB/Power%20Steering%20Lines/DSCN4501_zpstfuzdcqp.jpg
  16. I inject methanol ahead of the IAT sensor. I just set the ECU "IAT related ignition" to pull all the timing out once it sees over 110F. It basically goes off like a soft cut limiter if you set it agressively enough. Dont mess with the table switching. Your just complicating things. Theres no point since your methanol doesnt start until a certain pressure anyways. I aim for the same afr target I do without methanol injection. I give it timing if it wants it and just boost the s*** out of it. But, if your just racing JZ cars you dont need it anyways. Be careful with the low level sensors. Some allow it to shut down the system if it senses its low. The sensors have a tendency to fail even on a full tank. If youve used the systems before, then you know how little you burn. Not difficult to visually check it. If you intend to use the low level sensor and run a boost control like AEM truboost, you can use it to turn the controller off as well. So if meth is switched off, so is your boost.
  17. You have to acknowledge ign/knock functions which you dont have. People say they did this or that on their modern stock ecu cars that make adjustments for knock. You might add a 3-4deg max target but allow the ecu to pull it back if knock is detected. So what your focus did or someones camaro is irrelevent if your not also monitoring knock. Audible knock is long past too much. Get on a dyno that has a load cell. Thats your answer. The hotter the day, the better.
  18. Use it as a safety net and itll work. Use it as a crutch and your motor will not last.
  19. I made 498whp on 30psi and 91oct spraying 75/25. Hows that? lol Heres a post from a little while back http://www.sqperformance.com/forum/index.php?topic=320.0
