  1. I still frequent here, I don't have Facebook and don't want one. There is a lot of info and real enthusiasts here.
  2. My wife checked out these guys on Facebook, they are claiming they have most starquest parts in stock and are ready to be shipped. It's cool this company is making parts but hopefully they make it up to the people that paid and are not just money grabbing.
  3. Looking good, the attention to detail stellar
  4. I have 20 years of pics, I know I have some of swapping the front. If I have the foam pics I can email them to you.
  5. Years ago when I pulled my 88k front bumper on my 89 that was mostly garaged and replaced in 90 something from damage before I owned it, the front support was already getting bad. I made some stencils to repair from another low mileage quest I had access to but ended up finding one of the last oem replacement front supports around 2010. When I put it back together I cut channels in the foam to direct water across and slits going towards rad to direct water away. I also sanded and coated the support with a POR 15 style coating after a sealant coat. After a few hundred miles and few washes I pulled some of it apart and it appears to be draining and holding up fine.
  6. That's a nice ride, clean and cool color.
  7. Was also considering same setup with some type of aic
  8. Any update on this?, was really considering some of their products but it seems they just sell promises and excuses
  9. 87 to 89 Maf wires: Plug position-Color-Function 1-White /black-airflow output 2-Large red-+12 volts 3-Green/red-baro sensor 5v power 4'Black/white--Ground 5-Black/white-Baro pressure out 6-Green/red-Intake air temp Translator to harness Pink goes to 2 for power Black goes to 4 for ground Green to 1 for airflow Gray to 5 for baro fixed at 3.9v Brown to 6 for fixed temp of 80 White not used, rpm sig does not work. The 1st gen dsm tuning instructions are still available if you search.
  10. Very tough loss for his family and our community. He was a great guy always around to help. This is another big blow to the OGs of our community. May he rest in peace.
  11. I believe exhaust tubing or washers would be used inside to bring strut top flush with housing because the body of the mr2 strut is shorter. The old pages used to have some how to on the subject. I had some aluminum turned for a set a did a while back. TEP is still doing strut conversions if you want a easy fix.
  12. Welcome to the club, good luck on the search and your future with your Quest.
  13. I sent them multiple emails for parts and never received a reply. I knew someone else that ordered and received parts from Japan from them a few years ago but this past year and 12 emails nothing.
  14. The rear struts will require a modified housing. Mookeeh sells them, TEP converts them, or you can find a local welder to cut open housing and weld back together or cut off and retap for a different gland nut.
  15. Is there anybody near PA that can save the steering stuff that is becoming so rare? I'm about 5 to 6 hours away.
  16. I think you can still buy them from ground control. I think Techno Toy Tuning had coil overs with eibach springs like ground control. Cosmo still has coilovers as well.
  17. Welcome, great to have another on the road getting fixed up. There are many resources for repairs and mods here.
  18. Have you checked strut mount or strut nut in center of mount? Had a friend with a similar issue years ago and it was the strut nut on the camber plate was loose and was creating the same issue but no noise when in air.
  19. Car looked great, Lucky buyer. How much did it end up going for may I ask?
  20. Happy new year , glad we starquesters are still around and the site is still up. Hope all of you are doing well.
  21. I believe to use the S14 spindle you need to swap the whole strut assembly . The hub mounting points are different than the starion.
