Been a while without an update, but wanted to let everyone know, that progress is still being made :)

Drive shaft and new oil cooler lines made and installed. I've got the Megasquirt MS2 all wired up and got spark on all 6, everything is functioning as its supposed to but wasn't getting any fuel. Pulled the injectors and they were all gummed up beyond belief. Soaked them overnight, cleaned them up nice, and got the filters all nice and cleaned up. They are all clicking open and close nicely and just need to pick up some new orings before re-installing the last couple. Hoping to get it to fire up and idle sometime this week...

The trans mount is temporary right now - just took some 1/8" steel from the crate it shipped on, heated it, hammered it sort of flat, drilled holes and supported the back of the trans like that. The larger bolts directly attached to the trans have bushings from end links in between the mount and the trans to absorb some vibration. Once it is running and I can get it on a trailer, I'll bring it someplace and have a nice professional / beefy one made up. But for a temp solution, it'll do, even if it is ugly/ghetto ish. :)

I'm betting on too lean as well - I used the required fuel calculator in megatune - 3000cc engine, 95 lb/hr injectors, etc, and it spit out 3.4 as required, but that seems really low. Even with that, the VE figures could be way off. Once I can get it to idle, the rest should be pretty easy :)

Using Megasquirt MS2 with coil driver chips built in, so the ecu does everything from fuel to spark to timing.

Thanks guys! I'm hoping to get working on it again today and this weekend and try to get it to run consistently, and heck - maybe even pull it out and into the garage for the first time in two years. lol

But may run into delays. Expecting our first baby (boy) any day now, so if I happen to drop off the face of the earth for a few days, you know what happened. ;-)

i calculated 5.5 REQ_Fuel

What'd you plug in for figures? I just redid it and got 3.4 again. 183 CI for engine size, 6 injectors, 6 cyl, 2 squirts per, alternating fire, and gasoline.

I tried to fire it again just now and it's just not idling - constantly need to hit the gas and as soon as I let off it putters out. I have a feeling a lot is related to timing, but I need to get it to idle to check with with a timing light. No idea if the megatune is even jiving with physical at this point.

Pulled the plugs and they were fuel soaked. Cleaned them all off, took a ton of fuel out, and still same. Stalls out and fuel soaked plugs again. Which is why I am thinking the timing is waaaay off and not burning well at all. I took a bunch of timing out in the idle range and it backfired a lot - added timing in, and it backfired a lot. lol - she's gonna give me a tough time, I know it. :)

Here are VE and ignition tables - this was using the calculator for 11.7 afr and it gave me 4.2 req... tried this as well as 3.4 and it pretty much gave same results:

Why is the Y figures in % like that...Shouldn't it be kpa?

Yup - completely missed that - someone on the 3sx board pointed that out as well - so now I have them from 19 - 250 %. That very well could have been jacking everything up too. lol. Amazing how much I forgot in a few years.
