silverarrow89
Bought the car...it's been sitting for a week since I've been traveling, opened the hood this morning and saw something that looked like it was beaten with an ugly stick. :rolleye0018: So i get to wondering (really dreaming) what this thing will look like next Spring when I've had my way with it, anodized, polished, painted, cleaned, etc! For inspiration, could a couple of you SQ'rs post the pics of your engine bays? I have a few I've downloaded, but thought maybe a few others might have em as well. Thanks. SA89 Great photos everyone, very "inspiring". I'll post a new and revised version of the mosaic over the weekend, I think now we have enough to fill the entire sheet. I'll make one that's 11x17 (for those who can print that size) and another 8.5x11. Edited August 28, 2008 by silverarrow89
chiplee
Good timing. My dad, "slydogg" here, recently went through my engine bay and gave it new life so I'm itchin' to post pics of it. We have a few finishing touches to get to but it's getting there. Here's the most recent pics. http://www.26liter.us/forum/Garage/uploads/cache/garage_gallery_683149863.jpg http://www.26liter.us/forum/Garage/uploads/cache/garage_gallery_1847097326.jpg http://www.26liter.us/forum/Garage/uploads/cache/garage_gallery_958157372.jpg edit: Thought I'd add one of the car. Oh and if you have your engine looking like mine next spring I'll be offended, lol. I've been working on that car for 10 years. http://www.26liter.us/forum/Garage/uploads/cache/garage_gallery_944284888.jpg Edited August 5, 2008 by chiplee

chiplee
chiplee, i don't see any rubber insulators there, what kind of suspension set-up do you have? nice engine bay! Ground control (eibach) coil overs and tokico struts, plus all the poly bushings and mounts from the first stedebani GP. The strut braces aren't installed up front because they don't clear the intake plenum. Since the strut brace mounts directly to the camber plate, the only way I can figure to fix it is either pull the plenum off the intake and have it shorted a 1/4inch, or have a raised strut bar fabricated to go over it. That actually might be easier, anyway, here's a pic http://www.geocities.com/chip_lee_iii/P1010147.jpg

I love it. If it was for all out race I would have gone bigger but for the street It's amazing. Less lag than the 20g a d from 12 psi to 30 its like you're shot from a cannon. Hold on and point the wheel straight.
StarquestRescue
I put on a 52mm tb and intake last week. Swapped the 17c for a 19c yesterday. Today i put on my best used hood insulator and cleaned up the aluminum heat shield. The car has been trapping 102 on the 17c at 20lbs (unleaded race gas blend). I hope to track the 19c tonight. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff45/StarquestRescue/DSC00324.jpg

silverarrow89
OK, made a mosaic of all the engines, had to search for a few more on the site to make it to 25 total. I wonder how much horsepower this page produces :eek1bluegreen: You can download the PDF here and print on 8.5x11 (had to change from 11x17, since some of the pics were too small and started to really blur). Download 21MB PDF Here Silver Edited August 10, 2008 by silverarrow89
