Well... your "headliner" sure caught my attention. I do believe however, w/ reference to the prior/above response; I believe it was a "political issue" he was refering to... calling it a "problem" of how to bring conservatism up w/ the times, the issues facing latinos, women; in order to capture a larger percentage of the vote.

This is the problem with many public Republican figures, they continue to put their foot in their mouth.

This is also the reason why Republican Party fails in attaining minority support. Their disconnection from the target audience is what is costing them support in many sectors and minority groups.

well, to be fair, "you didn't build that" was an error of syntax. placing that coma at the end of "that" gave a different tone, and allowed for a 'soundbite' that lost all context.

the republican's problem is an error of word choice, and moreso, content itself.

You get what I'm saying tho... It goes both ways. How many times has Biden full on said some stupid stuff. Not stuff out of context, but just crazy stuff.

Unless you are a millionaire, want to ban condoms, patrol people's bedrooms, and outsource America to China, there's no real reason to support GOPers. They are getting more etreme by the day.

LOL, no offense to any GOPers.

What was that about? This most surely isn't the best, suitable place for political sparring... although... it is in the "B.S. Thread Section?"

I really dislike politicians and media celebrities,

that put the spin on about what sort of issue is sensitive to the general public.

They don't really care, they just want ratings, it is there job to be noticed,

if they can't get a reaction, then they keep trying, until they do.

Advertising companies are to blame for the circus dog and pony shows, they're the ones that float the manure.

It's all about the almighty dollar.

The only problem is you get morons that can't get their facts straight, like Mitt's realitives http://www.reuters.c...E8A60ZC20121107

are from chihuahua mexico.

So I guess now we only have the Mormons to blame?

I don't have a problem with Latinos and I vote Republican. What I do have a problem with is Illegal Latinos. And some in the Democratic party that wants to allow them to vote. I.E. Not having to show identifaction in order to be allowed to vote. Also, allowing amnesty to their children born here. Hell, members of Muslim extremist groups could come here illegally, have children in the U.S. thus, the children have legal status, then teach them the ways of radical Islam. .....What happens down the road?? A lot of the past civilizations through out history failed from within ;) . Get real LIBERALS!!!!

Good to hear you chime in Cal. you had me worried for a minute there when i saw this headline.

http://news.yahoo.co...topstories.html

after seeing this, I instantly thought of since you're the only guy I know from Montana.

but yeah I agree with ya, illegals shouldn't be allowed to vote. we have rules in this country.

I think a lot of people fail to realize that the cause of our major problems are those "special interest groups" with whom our politicians are in bed with. They have been milking us for a while now and the proceeds go off shore. Mainstream media does a fine job in making everything look dandy while the hard working people sink deeper into the current financial mess.

Listen guys I'm not here to discuss illegals or illgal immigration and the term Latino should not automatically be tied in to "illegals".

This is about some public figures in the Republican Party and their failure to get with the times. We are living in a multicultural America and the social threads that make up our society are changing. I'm not generalizing all Republicans, that would be ignorant in my part.

What I'm saying is they really need to get a unified Republican message to appeal their tartget audience. As Mike Murphy said, they will need to quarrel this out in between the party themselves.

Branding is their issue, from a marketing communications perspective.

The fact of the matter is the latino vote is becoming the majority voter. At least around these parts, older well established hispanics are predominantly rebuplican but the younger-newer generation are predominantly democratic.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the younger generation, regardless of race seems to take a liking towards Democratic ideals. A lot more young people voted in this election than those of the past.

Durring this campain I don't know if any of you saw the street corner protesters,

with pictures of President Obama, dressed with a rainbow wig as a clown,

and also would use pictures of him depicted as Hittler.

They had card tables set up asking for people sign a petition to Impeach him ,

because they stated he wasn't a legal citizen and that he is creating a socialist society.

The last time the white vote was a majority was in about 1991?

In the past 15 years or so the political landscape has changed,

and traditionalists are profiled as the Democratic party

and the Republican party are profiled as the liberal contenders.

It is now said, the most liberal democrat is more conservative than the most conservative republican.
