freebird
just a sheared valve actually. No, I didnt do it.....but i know who did. But for some reason I think it would be that high boost pressure everyone likes to brag about running.....maybe? http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/jaybirdskate/h1_zpstwyetadf.jpghttp://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/jaybirdskate/h2_zpsqrwnyrcn.jpghttp://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/jaybirdskate/h4_zpsqnvnef6c.jpghttp://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/jaybirdskate/h3_zps8tohqbuu.jpg

Turbo Cary
The hole in the piston is to lower the compression ratio to allow of more boost. All the cool kids are running their setups that way.
Funky Phil
Ive seen a few ebay M28's do that. Not sure what valves the use. I always change the valves to SS. These were basically stock builds too.
freebird
He told me there was a rocker arm noise......''tick''they are not hydraulic adjusters. Possible he tried to adjust the lash.....too tight???Rocker arm broke.....but so did the valve. Valves look like all the other valves I have in the garage. One thing for sure.....it did not break at 2,000 rpm! Funny the engine still ran though good ol 2.

Shelby
true, but he broke a intake valve. i also see a broken mechanical rocker arm another point about caravan heads is they have very weak valve springs,, that can cause valve float and them breakingcaravan springs 64 lbs, quest turbo 74 lbs , new pressure reading , after a while they get a lot lower and I thought I saw two broken valves , mabe I looked wrong Edited August 26, 2015 by Shelby
