Pr4mnceMan
Awesome.... what size turbo is that? Â Deff. wanna keep us updated on that baby 8) Its a precision SC-61 T3/To4E .83a/r GT40 76 trim wheel. Rated @ 650 if I remember correctly. Guy I bought it from dyno'd here at work, it did 521whp on a 1.6 liter honda engine @ 24psi. http://www.etrackmasters.com/dyno/paulp.gif
Pr4mnceMan
As you can see that 1.6 and that turbo didn't agree! Hopefully another litre will help that! I hope! :-/
Boosted_One
Friggin' sweet set up!! That turbo is very nice! 8) That hot side A/R is about the max I would recommend on a 2.6L until I'm proven wrong. ...a .60 cold side and .83 hot side... stage 5 wheel?? That boost might be online around 3500+ or so... but let me know how close I was... Just don't over cam that turbo... Any thoughts on a header down the road? I see that exhaust manifold might be your bottleneck?? I like it man!!
Boosted_One
As you can see that 1.6 and that turbo didn't agree! Â Hopefully another litre will help that! Â I hope! Â :-/ ya that 1.6 was a lag monster till about 5K...I mean probably couldn't get thru the yellow light even! You'll be alright...these 2.6L can run a bigger turbo just fine...but I like said...don't over cam that turbo...
jinx
everybody and their mama is running that turbo. I posted about it several times.... it deliveres the goods. 2.4 dsms will let u know exactly how it'll spool up. Killer performance For me, life after a 20G-06 may go to that compressor wheel in the 3" inlet mitsu cover, and stay internal gated too. I'd go for a header at that level tho. Looks like u went straight for the throat. heheh

Technology
The herb missing in the recipe is a *DM 3" exhaust. uhh, what? it won't bolt up, did you notice the back of the turbo?
Pr4mnceMan
uhh, what? Â it won't bolt up, did you notice the back of the turbo? Thats one of the 2 problems. Other problem is routing it around the external. My guy thats building my IC pipes is making my downpipe as well. It'll be mandrel.
Questsi
uhh, what? Â it won't bolt up, did you notice the back of the turbo? I think he know's it won't bolt up. He would need a new flange. Anyways, a 3 inch of any kind would be the ticket.
Technology
that depends, you could probably get away with 4 inch and have gains over a 3 inch. but you want to match the initial pipe sie to the turbo outlet. sweet looking engine, if i didn't already mention that. heefner
4 inch exhaust isn't worth the hassle unless its an all out race car. There just isn't room to put it. The motor looks good. Nice choice of accessories.
Pr4mnceMan
Thanks guys! The guy who's building my IC pipes is also building my 3" mandrel stainless down pipe. I can't wait for it to be done so I can finish moving crap under the hood. I got plenty to do on the inside!

Boosted_One
uhh, what? Â it won't bolt up, did you notice the back of the turbo? I run Kellys 3" on my Garrett...I just made my own downpipe and welded new flanges from my flex pipe to Kellys exhaust. Unfortunately due to so many vairations unless Kelly gets a header for his system he won't ever be able to sell a downpipe for Garetts. So your on your own there. 88TSI_Rob
Be sure to post some pics of how you mount that IC and do the pipes. I'm dying to see how you pull that off!
Pr4mnceMan
Be sure to post some pics of how you mount that IC and do the pipes. I'm dying to see how you pull that off! I went buy yesterday to drop off my bov flange and some bolts for the IC I forgot to give him. He was already done w/ the IC pipes (had dropped teh car off the day before about 9pm!) and showed up around 10:30am the next morning. IC looked bad mounted!! He should have the 3" bends he needs for my exhaust Monday, so I will be picking the car up by next Wednesday if everything goes as planned! I would've taken pics then but I didn't have my camera with me. I'm very excited about this set up! Everybody needs a cheap fabricator living in their area! He works out of his grand parents old RV Garage (8 bays, doors are about 18' tall!) so he has plenty of room and no over head! He used a total of either 4 or 5 U-bends, couples, t bolt clamps and welding my HKS blow off flange for a total of $300! You can't beat that! He said around $200-250 to weld in my external wastegate and build my 3" downpipe. He said it was only that high because 3" stainless mandrel is expensive. I'm happy to pay him, his welding looks like something that would come out of the high end performance stores!
