Pr4mnceMan
Just made $1200 profit on a car I had sitting around today!!!! Sold it and didn't even advertise it! As soon as I get time I'm ordering the SDS finally!!! This project is close to coming alive! Now the only thing working against me is work. Too busy to even think about working on the car at the moment. >

Pr4mnceMan
Got back in from Vegas late last night and spent a few hours today doing some work/test fitting. http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387231IMG0556.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387233IMG0559.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387235IMG0557.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387237IMG0558.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387258IMG0566.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387239IMG0560.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387241IMG0561.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387243IMG0562.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387245IMG0563.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387252IMG0564.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387255IMG0565.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387260IMG0567.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387261IMG0568.JPG http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/189/189048/folders/185814/1387262IMG0570.JPG
88whitestarion
Nice looking intercooler. Will all the factory trim fit(i.e. bumper, air dam, etc.) when you are finished? I also noticed the down pipe from the wastegate. Unless you don't mind it being really loud, you may want to put a 45 or so degree turn on it at the end. I initially had mine shooting straight down to the pavement and it was too loud for me. I drove it for a week like that and then ended up running back into the the down pipe. By the way, I think I'm running the same turbo you have(T3/T4 with stage 5 turbine, .82 A/R, super "H" clip on compressor) and I'm fully spooled to 25psi at around 3900rpm. Post pics when you get the bumper and airdam on. Dave
Pr4mnceMan
The metal bumper is off the car for good. The air dam and cap will fit, I have to fab up a backstrap to hold it up in the center. (seen it doen before and it looked just fine) I test fit teh cap today, but the air dam was at work (fiberglassed/reinforced teh corners) and haven't brought it home yet. The air dam is probably going to have to be trimmed a little, but shouldn't be anything major. I had a dsm w/ about a similar turbo running a 40mm external firing straight down and left it that way. Its not a daily driver so I don't forsee a problem with the sound. Maybe this car will be louder? I'll find out soon hopefully! ;D I was worried about this turbo spooling to late, but I'd be happy if I get teh same results as you....any headwork? Why would you leave the metal bumper off? You're asking for damage doing that. My setup is the exact same as yours and mine fits fine... I dunno maybe i'm crazy but that's something I wouldn't do... Pr4mnceMan
SDS system should be here Monday/Tuesday next week to give an update. And I am not running a front metal bumper for weight, same reason why I didn't run fronts on my dsm.

Funky Phil
Okay, Not trying to be a d1ck so please dont take it that way. Ive just seen it happen before and would prefer it not happen to you. I want this baby to rock the streets. 1. I hope that exh manifold is ported to hell or that you will be replacing it with a tubular one soon. Otherwise once the pressure is put on your gonna bottleneck and find yourself making a lot less power than expected. The tainters make some nice products with stock mounting position for a great price. http://www.t-racing.com/TRShop/available_parts.htm 2. Get a good cam if you dont already have one. I recommend TimC's screamin banshee. It has made alot of people happy. http://www.geocities.com/starquest_power/Engine.html Otherwise good luck and may the torque be with you! Pr4mnceMan
Well, anything and everything has happened to extend this project as long as possible! I even ended up buying my first house last month. Just got the car moved to the new shop behind my house last week and been settling in it this past week. Pics can be found here: http://community.webshots.com/album/294020443uzsQco I do have a TEP cam but running a stock log manifold ported. That manifold you posted will be my next purchase but several months down the road, goignto see how this stock one performs first. I'm leavign work tomrorow @ 2pm and heading straight to the shop to try and finish all the wiring left on the car which is probably 7-9 hours worth. I'm waiting on one more part to get here for my oil drain line and the wiring and she should be up and running.
Questsi
Congratulations on the new home. I'm diggin the shop...that's pretty sweet. It feels good to have your own nest to come home to. I've had my house for exactly one year now and my damn car is still sitting in the garage. I must finish it soon!! Let us know when that black animal of yours fires up. I think you'll be happy with the SDS....which one did you go with???
heefner
Is your exhaust flange cracked?
artinist
Is your exhaust flange cracked? Â nah, thats the T3 manifold from TEP. they start with a new manifold (which supposedly is a casting from puerto rico and is a better material than the stock, but who knows), then they weld the T3 flange to it. I think I bought that back in '99 for $275. the wastegate however is a recent addition

Pr4mnceMan
Man you scared me! It was just a surface scratch and in the light of the pic it looked like a crack! Got my wireless set up in the shop and posting from here now. Finally had a good day/night to break in the new shop and it feels great! Camera is inside or I'd take some current pics. Getting so close! Only thing going to hold me off from starting it tonight is a flange for the oil return line that hasn't shipped in yet. >
