spoon fulls :) the dish on the piston can hold 3 or 4 ounces and not get oil any where else esp on the walls ,you ay be ok if it spit oil back out when you spun the engine ,, you did spin it with no plugs right

Engine was cold so it was hesitant to rev quickly that also explains the black smoke runs a little on the rich side on cold start up. Its a little loud to drive with company and it always pisses off the people next to you in traffic on cell phones.

shelby, im a southerner. a couple spoonfulls doesnt mean i measured it out with spoons. that means i poured some in till i felt like i had enough in there. in all actuality i prolly put about half a cup in there that i poured down the cylinder against the cyl wall as best i could. then i bumped the starter to make it move up and down to coat the cyl. wall. either way, i feel like i got plenty of oil in there. ive had a few cases of this over the years and this is the same method ive always used and never had a problem.

hey thats fine, we can't always tell the level of expertize of the poster and it's better to waste a few lines of internet space then alow some one to fail to get enought oil in the cyls and have them rust ,

many people have no idea of just how fast a cyl wall will rust if air or coolant is left in them , and come back a couple months later to a loc'd up engine

seriously, you guys have no idea how wicked randomguy's exhaust sounds like. Last night I was assisting him in getting his FPR in line so it could start up. It's like a Harley meets a cammed v8 meets a WW2 Pratt & Whitney V10
