Well I have made a little more head way I have fabbed up an oil return fitting on the oil pan. I finally have all the adapters and couplers and other odds and ends I need, I think... Maybe by Christmas it will be running. I still need to build an oil feed line to work with this turbo. I will post pics soon.

EDIT***

I did decide to go with a v band adapter to make it easier to maake a down piep and for the future when I do need to work on my car and have to drop the exhaust.

it is an sc63 compressor(precision) with a .58ar p trim t4. I dont know why people are saying that the p trim is too big. There is a guy here running a gt45. The 2.6 needs a big turbo period and I dont believe you need DOHC anymore. Going for 450 or more @ the tires.

So do youhave any pics of your complete set-up ??

Well here it is fellas and let me tell you what once this thing is tuned in a little bit its gonna get wild. It will be a great quarter mile car

I was with Kyle last night when we fired it up for the first time and took a drive. He is using a Garrett 60-1 .72 AR T04S compressor with a .84 T3 exhaust with the Stage 3 wheel that I had planned for my MPI car but went bigger. We decided to go ahead and put the turbo on before Kyle's MPI to see just how well a TB G54B could spool a bigger turbo, and I have to say I was shocked with the results. His engine is pretty mild with a stock bottom end, Alabama Non-jv head, TEP 272 cam, and a MAFT Translator setup. While there is obviously more lag than the 18G he was running, at 3000 RPM, it spools the turbo to 7 psi (where his external WG is set) pretty dang quick. There was no noticable loss of drivability from what I could tell, and even at 7 psi the car pulls well to 6000+ where we let off. We didn't adjust the MAFT at all , and the wideband remained in the 11-11.5:1 range during WOT and boost.

While time will be the true test, I feel certain that Kyle's current setup at 7 psi will better his previous 1/4 mile times with the 18G at 18+ psi by a substantial margin. It was surprising how well it felt up top with low boost compared to the Mitsu unit he was running. Not to mention, the sound of the 60-1 alone made the swap worth it

Another interesting thing we noticed was the tremendously decreased temperatures under the hood.

Well I had it running for a total of four days and he tranny couldn't stand anymore abuse. So now I am in search of another tranny To get back on the road I have a spare but the 3rd gear synchro is gone bad so its not the greatest tranny but it'll run with it. But while it was running I gave a modded WRX a very good run for his money and I was only running 7 psi. But anyway keep an eye out in the warstories section I might have a few good ones soon.

So hows this car coming along? Get any track or dyno time on it?

No I havn't had time to do it yet the car is done as of now. However I had to pull it back apart. I had some problems with my wastegate rattling which in turn cracked the manifold. But I may get some dyno time shortly it spools hard though. Im happy with it.

Got it Running pretty good now. After countless problems since I got it going hopefully things will hold together But I went to the local 1/8th mile on thursday and kicked some a** it was great to finally get to drive the car after a month. I am now running like 10-12 lbs of boost. Its pretty quick now. Hopefully the driveline will stand for the abuse. Ill be down there at the Import Showdown.

This is with my new manifold from ebay a custom built wastegate adapter and a completely redesigned 3 inch downpipe. I also ended up doing the ABS elimination because the exhaust sits really close to the ABS canister.

TBI ftw, If I had all the money I've spend on MPI stuff, I could have bought a sweet ball bearing turbo, manifold, and exhaust stuff, then hardpipes and sweet suspension with some HUGE wheels. Instead I've got a car that doesn't work because I took it apart for MPI..... the results better be worth it.
