  1. just like subject says, i need a working tested tps.
  2. Oh, I painted that with HP and my waste gate dump is being made by myself who also has a job, life, friends, family. So in due time, I knew there would be people Sunday afternoon QB'n it. Oh and BTW check out those massive exhaust studs and bolts, lol! That aint gunna strip.
  3. same boat, tbi can work with a big turbo... people just have to try it!
  4. the turbo sits much lower and farther away from the head, you could use a huge compressor, the problem as stated above is the down pipe wastegate clearance is close. The other thing to think about is you get very close to the ABS trash can with the exhaust housing.
  5. I love it, depending on how big you go with the exhaust turbine and if you run a 38mm Tial it can be a pretty close fit with the bell of the waste gate almost touching the down pipe (i don't know if most would run a 3-1/2" downpipe but in my case i did) I say BUY! BUY! BUY!
  6. No times for grudge night? thats a little overboard. I just put a huge Garrett on my TBI setup and it surprised me as well go Garrett!
  7. yea, even a 20g is too small go Garrett.
  8. Its true because i can still floor my car at 1000rpm in 4th and it will rev its way up with no nonsense.
  9. I have a real deal no nonsense Garrett, purchased far from the debochary of E-bay.
  10. Its time to do something different no MITSU TURBOS
  11. I have a 1.15a/r T3 housing with a 3-1/2" discharge on the exhaust, with stock compression and cam and TBI with 10psi i picked up 60 rwhp and get full boost in second gear at ~3,000rpm. The solution to make power on these motors is a way larger turbo on the exhaust side. I know they are low compression and you cant go overboard but the stock turbo design (no matter what guts it has) is pretty lack luster compared to the variety and reliability of Garrett style turbos. I highly recommend going Garrett first and foremost if everything else is running good. You will be blown away at how much power you will gain and at a respectively low amount of boost compared to what you would have to run with any Mitsubishi turbo to get the same amount of power.
  12. maybe even 60psi, lol you should not need any more than 15-20 with the correct turbo.
  13. I can get full boost in second gear and I get about 7 in first depending on if it spins the tires a little or not.
  14. I also had it on the dyno with the stock turbo @ 7psi and turbo back 2-1/2" and with the MAF-T and made 157hp. Just with the new turbo and manifold I picked up 56hp to the wheels with a 3psi increase in boost.
  15. Spool is great for me I have full boost at like 3k-4krpm and the higher I go with the boost the faster it comes on, thats sort of relative I know but I like it. 3-1/2" on the discharge so may as well keep it that big the entire way and I already have made the hard part and its on the car with no rubs(3-1/2" down pipe). Im truly excited to see if I can make around 300hp, time will tell but I beleive with the very mild fuel setup on her and that mitsu turbo long gone it can be done.
  16. Thanks guys, yea its a bone stock motor with stock cam, Fidanza, T3 log style cast manifold, Maf-T & 3-1/2" Maf, 3-1/2" down pipe necked down to 2-1/2", hard pipes and thats about it. I cant wait to squeeze around 15psi and do full 3-1/2" exhaust.
  17. Just drove my car with the new split tangential t3 1.15A/R on the hot side... NOT TOO BIG its really not even that laggy i have full boost around 3k. The motor also loves to rev now, thats funny lol.
  18. ^Thats one of the smartest things i have ever seen posted on these forums.
