Bad2Rass
So I think this will be a great compliment to my MPI but before that I want to see as do a few other Locals how much we can get on a Throttle Body setup before MPI with this turbo it is a Garrett 60-1 with a .70 A/R compressor and a .82 A/R Turbine I may end up going with a smaller A/r Turbine but I will see how this works. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/bad2rass/IMG_1932.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/bad2rass/IMG_1935.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/bad2rass/IMG_1929.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/bad2rass/IMG_1933.jpg I will probably use the tial 38 mm wastegate. mrdodge01
You'll need to relocate the wastegate on that setup, it won't clear the motor mount as it sits... I have one of those manifolds as well... Here's how I have mine setup:http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10141/wg1.JPGhttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10141/wg2.JPGhttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10141/wg3.JPGhttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10141/wg4.JPG You can make your own elbow, but I just bought this one:http://www.importparts.com/shop/images/forcedinduction/dra_wgelbow.jpg Got it here:http://www.importparts.com/shop/product_in...roducts_id=5364 That 60-1 looks pretty darn good! I think that's what I might be getting for my setup as well, but def. with a smaller a/r turbine housing. There's a certain T70 that catches my eye as well..... still kinda undecided. Good luck running that on TBI, you've got more guts than I do!
pagemo
Hey kyle,Man I can't wait to see what you can get with that thing on a TBI, I will be right there urging you to push for more  really though should be fun to see what you can get just make sure you have you other motor ready because you might need it!PS I am headed to the dyno this month call me if you want to go!Scott

Truth
i have to save a little bit more money to buy my megasquirt from a local member, after that, and a cheap laptop i'll be ready to go. i haven't ordered my intercooler yet, but i think i'm going with x02racing's intercoolers on ebay. the core is 20" x 9". Kyle, what intercooler are you going with?

Kyle, what intercooler are you going with? AJ, I will probably go with this 24x12x3 from X02 Racing on ebay it seems like a good deal and it looks good on our cars. It does a great job of filling in the airdam. I saw Scott's car yesterday over at Jon's and that's the size that he has. Lookin good. But that's a ways down the road I will probably run MPI on the stock IC for a little while. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/bad2rass/ic-gy12.jpg
pagemo
Hey AJ, I went with one pretty close to the picture kyle posted but mine is a 4" core way over kill!!!! I think in doing it over I would stick with a 3". The quality of the one I ordered was great though for the money. Lion bull what compressor is that? A lot of people think that p trim is not the best for our cars but I am running it with no real problems, I am having problems with my v trim compressor surging at low engine speeds though and I am considering swaping to something else.Scott
lionbull
it is an sc63 compressor(precision) with a .58ar p trim t4. I dont know why people are saying that the p trim is too big. There is a guy here running a gt45. The 2.6 needs a big turbo period and I dont believe you need DOHC anymore. Going for 450 or more @ the tires. Truth
the prices at X02 seem to be right. i'm glad the quality is too i'm going with the one that's a little bit smaller so i don't have to cut anything, and so the whole intercooler is showing. plus, i don't think m S-trim hybrid will push enough CFM's to take advantage of the 24 x 12 intercooler. Yeah I'm still not 100% decided on the size just yet but it will be fairly large. It just looks so mean.
Truth
if you're going to cut the bumper eventually, i'd get the big one. i'm just getting the 20 x 9 one and mount it lower so you can see it all through the airdam. are you going to try to get your MPI done before the fall Reynolds meet? JustPaus_88TSi
Personally, I'd be looking for an intercooler that had the inlet and outlet tanks on top and bottom. It's a better overall design.

Check the back of the turbine housing. It is a little blurred but it says precision. Even has the sticker on the compressor housing(not in pic) and came in the precision box with their card and address everything.sc6376s with t4 .58 housing and p trim wheel. reel crap. Bad2Rass
I have read that I just dont like the look of the end tanks and not to sure on the fitment of something like that I found this pic of an I.C. http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f65/bad2rass/G_IC_AA2.jpgThat looks simular to what they were talking about in that thread. I know that those do seem to flow smoother its just the look I'm not to keen on it although it would probably be another way to be different because most peopl use side to side tanks like the other IC above. Thanks,Kyle
Starcon88
Yes but the real BIG problem with the IC above is that the positions of the end tanks, you are only goin to be useing about 60% of the efficiency of that IC because all the air is going to want to go through the bottom cores and most of the ebay IC have crazy no kind cores. Truth
it would be difficult to run piping for that top to bottom intercooler with the setup i'll be running. i'm not going to run that monster x02 intercooler, i'll be running one a bit smaller: about 20x9. i want that one because i'll be able to mount it where ALL of the intercooler is showing, unline now where half of the stock one doesn't even have any air hitting it. it'll have to be at least a little improvement over stock.
