  1. Apparently we are all doing it wrong here.....he made 430hp/456tq with AC on on a "bored to 2.9L" TB car with Mitsu turbo and duel 600cc injectors over 10 years ago. Wish I knew his secret Not an awful price for blue with SHPs......but I got a good chuckle at the "facts" http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/5240041040.html
  2. I have an 83 parts car with that interior....what you looking for? Shoot me a PM with your number if you want me to call....can't find it anymore.
  3. Money sent.....thanks again for the new run!
  4. Awesome Phil.....add me as well. So we need to send $160 to include the second softer bushing (if it's available)?
  5. His old build thread: http://www.starquest...showtopic=69675 Post 8 shows some of the reinforcement it required for gullwing.
  6. Back when Pagemo was working on the gullwing car, substantial reinforcement was required in the floors and roof. I bet he has pictures still here somewhere of all the welded channel that it took to adequately stiffen the chassis, but you could see the deflection in the roof skin after cutting the gullwing hinge pocket areas on a totally stripped chassis.
  7. Been a while since I've tinkered on a SQ and got the itch to MPI my flatty. Need a set of (4) small injectors preferably in the 550 range and low impedance. Everything I have is 750 or bigger and no intentions of big power on this one so would love to find a set in the 550 range.
  8. Gonna be fall/winter time frame before my shop is willing to take my car as a roller and paint the engine bay:( Apparently they are full up on non-running cars right now and no room. Then it's time to play. Fyi Tae.....Page ended up with the Raider.
  9. .....drive 30 year old cars as your daily driver We had to take this picture today. Literally.....these are our DD's. This is me, my boss (Randy, YellerBeast89 on here), and the office director. We catch quite the grief about driving old cars with the top 3 spots in the office. The office director also had a SQ until a couple years ago. The 80's are such unappreciated years....Randy's 635CSi is pretty sweet. http://i954.photobucket.com/albums/ae29/awb1102/20150623_153610.jpg
  10. I keep my rears at 5-6 clicks from soft but had to bump the front setting to 10-12 or so. Always had a little too much "bounce" running the front at 5-6 on my car.....felt springy when going over certain bigger bumps or dips. Taking it up to 10-12 smoothed it right out. I'm not running excessively low though....maybe 1.5" lower than stock.
  11. I'm welding a housing to mine if I ever use my FIP manifold. I'm trying to dig up a picture of one from a few years ago.
  12. I'm still down for one when you make another run!
  13. I would be happy to pick up a couple sets as well to help the GP.....tuned in for the rendering for sure.
  14. You don't have to use an NA pump (although I did). You can extend and modify the pickup tube for a turbo pump to fit in the Gen 1 oil pan. Plenty of guys have done it. That being said, the oil pressure in my Raider is pretty much identical to my SQ's. If the turbo pump was really a super-duper high volume pump it seems to reason that it "should" read a little higher pressure too since the oil is traveling the exact same galleries and orifices.
  15. My turbo Raider is at 220k+ miles and going strong (knocks wood) on the 5-speed. It's only a non-IC low boost stock engine from an 85 Starion though. Been swapped for maybe 20k miles. No clue what mileage driveline components have or what is original....picked it up at almost 200k. Angel Carlo and Shelby built a TB then later MPI Montero several years ago and never had driveline issues I heard of. The Tainter boys also had a MPI BIG turbo (60-1 I think) Montero many years ago that I guarantee was beat on (pretty sure they even ran it on the track a few times) and they towed with it. Also a 5-speed I believe. Maybe some of the older members have more info on that one. Haven't spoken with the Tainter's in a couple years. That being said...the tranny is an undeniable weak link and why I keep one on the shelf....but I have been extremely pleased with mine. Has some chatter in 3rd and 5th when lugging in gear, but still shifts great. 32" tires. Haven't abused it but it's certainly been off-roaded. No rock crawling.
  16. Lowest mileage car I've seen recently was a red 87 (I believe) on Atlanta Craigslist a few months ago with 12k miles. I believe they were asking 20k or something pretty atmospheric. Congrats on your unicorn!!!
  17. I know the 12a on my MPI car is sitting at 15 and spikes to 18 read directly from the Megasquirt MAP sensor, and (knocks wood) has been fine for 3 years that way. I literally can't regulate it any lower....I've tried single and 3 port actuators. I'd love to keep it lower....but just ain't happening. Oh well, it's a hoot to drive though, although traction impaired.
  18. Just unhook the wastegate you pansy
  19. Since averse called me out (but not sure "raving" is correct) ......I like this kit and have a couple of them. Extremely drivable but the best power handling we found in a g54 based clutch. We hot-lapped this clutch/flywheel combo on a 520 ft-lb 4g64 swapped Starion with wrinkle-walls a few years ago and it was flawless (and yes....the 89 tranny lived through it). Far as I know it continued to hold just fine but lost track of that car once it was sold.
  20. NAPA Gold 1381 is indeed straight from WIX.
  21. I offered the father entire flatty shell, rust free, for dang near free months and never heard from him again. Tried to convince them swap everything into a shell....but he was determined to fix the damage....good luck.
  22. These are just going to sit.....no time to entertain any series racing anymore. $75 shipped
  23. The upper radiator hose is even better....I bet that stock Colt radiator will do an awesome job of cooling the G54
