importwarrior
Worked on a mint 86 today. Figured out the flapper on the wastegate sticks and or hangs up inside. Will have to remove to modify the wastegate area so the flapper does not hit and scrape when opening or closing.

importwarrior
Steering idler arm bushings made a huge difference. Car drives like new. If only I had a center link. And a new steering gear box. Then it all would be new. D2's adjusted and reset height. The D2" s with the ST sway bars... The car handles amazing. huero
Technically it was this weekend, but I changed out spark plug wires, made a bracket for the MAF-T and mounted it up and put in the CX racing intercooler and pipes. I put some plasti dip on the pillars by the hatch. The paint was peeling off, so I wanted something on there to hold me over till tax season when I get my paint done. Hopefully today I'll be able to drop in the new alternator.

polarisman14
Set base timing, re-attached front anti sway bar and skid plate, and finally took the car out of the garage it's been in for last 3 months. 3 mile shakedown run went great and the car drove surprisingly well on the old tune given the changes. With its flair for the theatrical, got back and shut the car off to put the hood back on and the upper coolant hose decided to pop off of the FIP hurricane IM--great design guys, make a 6" long water neck with no lip on the end to keep the hose from popping off. Oh well. Shoved the coolant hose on the neck another inch and doubled up on the clamps this time...That's how it was before for a year with no problems.
