Taz
I just got these back today and figured I'd share. I'm sure most wont like them, but I wanted something different for my car and they turned out exactly how I wanted. It's amazing the things that this process can be done to! http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/Mopar01/DSCN1868_zpsda53d0e9.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/Mopar01/DSCN1873_zps747ba812.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/Mopar01/DSCN1872_zps667f1bb5.jpg

Taz
It's a film that you put in water and then kinda push the piece into it to transfer the image. The whole process is a little more complicated then that, but that's the gist of it I think. I put them on the hood to show the colors together. He did his best to try to color match the pattern to the paint on my car. And my hood is already beat up pretty badly and will be repainted this summer with the rest of the car, so I'm not to worried about setting things on it for a photo or two. Taz
This was done by a guy I know local to me who started up a business at his house. This is not the guy who posted about it on this site. And yes, my friend has a few c/f patterns (there are many). You can find out info about him and see examples of his work at https://www.facebook.com/ShaffersHydroGraphics or http://www.shafferdesignllc.com

Komeuppance
This is the basics of hydro dipping, can be fully done at home, as shown in this video haha: -Robert
Taz
Ok.. that "home job" really doesn't look that great... the sides look stretched pretty badly. I know with my manifold he had to roll it into the pattern and create a clean (unnoticeable) seam, which in no way looks easy to me. Not having to clean, prep and paint my parts a head of time, not having to buy a large roll of film and not having to worry about if the pattern is going to look right or not, is WELL worth the price that I paid my friend to do the work. Komeuppance
Ah, I didn't look that closely at the video, just searched for one where you were able to see the basics of how it's done. -Robert
