Police report indicate fault of the Aztec? If they had insurance, its time to lawyer up and take the Fam to the chiropractor to be checked out. that being said - if my friend was shot, I'd be calling an ambulance and not driving them.... And statistically, your friend would have less chance of survival if you waited for EMS to roll code depending on the wound location and severity. In the Journal of Counter Terrorism & Homeland Security, Volume 12, No. 2, Ron Yanor of the Adamax Tactical Academy wrote an article titled 'High Risk Lifesaver'. In which he writes that a morbidity and mortality study done in Los Angeles County during the 1990's concluded that immediate control of the bleeding and transport to the hospital had double the success rate of the L.A. County Paramedics who begun treatment on scene and then transported. Those in the EMS field know the term "gangbanger express" all too well, and this is exactly what seems to have happened to John. More often than not, the wounded is simply pushed out of the vehicle at the ER entrance before those who transported them takes off. Obviously most people will never be in this kind of situation, but even the more preliminary training and the access to a blow out bag is leaps and bounds above nothing. Convette Posted December 11, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 11, 2009 Ok so lil update.... We ended up with 2400 after the loan was paid off. Went to the fire station to get a report cause no accident report was written as of yet. What we did find out was kinda crazy. Turns out that we were the tail end of a tripple homicied agrivatted assult case that happens eairlier that night at several locations. The dude that ran from the scene was the driver of his moms Aztec who, around 5 or so in the morning showed up to the scene. We got her info and are waiting to find out if she has insurance or not so that we can hopefully get our 500 back from the deductable. Today we picked up a 1997 Honda passport with low miles in pretty decent shape for 2500. We also got a crap load of pain killers and muscle relaxers from our doctors to "help" the pain..... Lol. A "similar" twist of fate happened to me once at a blind intersection of a one way after a late movie. About 12:30am, my light turns green and for no reason, not distracted or anything, I didn't go right away. About 2-3 seconds later a full size firetruck flies through the intersection blowing the red with NO SIREN!!! - just lights which I couldn't see coming around the corner. In the tiny Starion my girl & I woulda been dead for sure. I was pretty shaken up after getting home, and called the station to complain em out. They said they had complaints about sirens waking people up late at night...in a town with train tracks through it horns a blaring all night every night! I was sooo pissed, but also so very happy to have avoided the worst. Try to focus on the positive.
