busted but not burned fusible link
By madmanperez,
If its not one thing its another. The main fusible link has broken its connector on the hot side. It snapped off the connection not burned off. I'm assuming that a new end can be crimped on but the tab it connects to seems to be bigger than what i'd call standard.
Anyone know what the size of the connector is, or who might be selling the red fusible link?
TIA
Power steering reservoir hose?

By THX181,
2 questions.
1. Power steering reservoir hose, anyone run silicone? The "Gates" parts store stuff is rock hard after a year.
2. Can an admin change my permissions? I like to add some knowledge to the occasional post that I might happen to know something about.
And I do know a few things, been a mechanic for decades.
Thanks
Eric

3/4 or 5/8 Clutch Master Cylinder options???
By BKB94,
Using the T-5 trans with a internal thunderbird SC T/O bearing I'm pretty sure I need a 3/4 or 7/8 master to get the travel needed. I was shocked that Willwood and Tilton does not give you any usable info on their site like mounting flange dimensions. I ran this combo from 1996 to around 2010 when I installed the TR6060 in my mustang. Unfortunately I can't remember what master cylinder size I was running originally. If im stuck with the quest 5/8 master I could always use a external slave cylin
