Note dyno results will be post in feb withreal numbers to prove it is not that much of a dramatic loss!!! please stay tuned i will be releasing a full s.s tubular header , mpi intake , down pipes and full cat backs all dyno tested with our dyno located on the premises this product will retail for 150.00 = shipping group buys can be discussed contact me at bigmandsm@aol.com or visit me at www.bigmandsm.com http://www.mustangmods.com/data/8435/dsc01338.jpg http://www.mustangmods.com/data/8435/dsc01337.jpg http://www.mustangmods.com/data/8435/dsc01334.jpg http://www.mustangmods.com/data/8435/dsc01335.jpg
HotrodTSi
$150 for an adapter? Or am I missing something? Please clarify. Thanks. ...btw, what external wastegate will work with it?
89onaquest
or even simpler solution... WELD a tapped T3 flange plate on... Total cost... I will be generous and say 30 bucks... 10 for the flange and a VERY generous 20 to have welded...
bigmandsm
basicly this always you to run a t3 or t4 with a delta wastegate, tial or turbonetics style wastegate with no welding required to your stock manifold i would recomend porting the manifold. the only reason i am offering this setup is for 1.someone that is on a budget could obtain it 2.afte rigging the stock manifold to a flow bench with some math work it flowed roughly 820cfms ported 3.always you to use a external wastegate for more accurate and stable boost levels 4. after i make the 12 sec pass then we see if it's worth the 150 bucks ;D
ChadC
4. after i make the 12 sec pass then we see if it's worth the 150 bucks ;D people have run 12's with a Mitsu. turbo.
89onaquest
people have run 12's with a Mitsu. turbo. and cheaper... We "adapted" a T25 manifold to a T3 manifold for 8 bucks... even tig welded for an additional 18...

smog
I think its a pretty cool product. Good luck. It should be a nice addition for the aftermarket. You can always DIY yourself cheaper, but this sounds like a nice bolt on piece.
Kr0nus
Some people are being negetive. Jezz people you swear this guy isn't trying to help us. I for one really don't think anyone will be able to weld a t3 flange for $30 unless you had a hook up. I for one am happy that someone is trying to offer something else for this car. We need all the help we can get not run people off.

Why don't you start your own thread on how to do everything yourself? Seriously, it would probably help some members. Most of us already know that we can buy materials ourselves and DIY. Most of don't have time or the will to do it though. Please just make your own thread man and quit posting on vendors threads on how you can do it for cheaper, that's just rude man. Richie_Rich
What's going on is that you posted about something that is not 100% complete yet. That is why there are doubters. There have been tons of people with good ideas, only to not go through with them. I'm guilty of that too. Finish the product and test if you want to claim performance increase and then post up. I may be interested in your adapter once you are ready to actually sell them. You mention they will go on sale tomorrow but then say no pictures until a patent. I'm a little confused there. I hope your adapter works as well as you hope. I'll be waiting for the dyno results. BTW, what year is your car? It looks like a '86. If so, do you have a fuel-cut defencer? shift1313
im not here to rip on you. Someone contacted me about 6 months ago asking me to make them a t3 flange adapter for their starion. I came to the conclusion it couldnt be done making the flange 1/2" thick or less cost effectively or optimizing the t3 or mitsu exhaust flange cross section, which would cause you to change your down pipe and possible your intake to the turbo. hard oil/coolant lines if you have any etc. How do you contour the t3 flange to the stock mitsu opening going from round to rectangular. also how did you tackle the over lap of the bolt pattern? here are two drawings of what i was working on. http://filebox.vt.edu/users/maperez/Cad%20Drawings/T31.JPG http://filebox.vt.edu/users/maperez/Cad%20Drawings/T32.JPG im not saying your part wont work or trying to tear it down i would just like to know a little bit more. i dont think you have to worry about patent rights, especially if you are serious about this idea. just send a certified drawing to your house and dont open it up. If it was ever to come into question that the idea was yours you have a certified unopened letter with the date and idea right on it. That will hold up as intellectual property in court without a doubt.
