I would go bigger then a 60-1..... Your setup is all most the same as my brothers car is now....... other then you have a tranny that works lol -
I like the rims on the car!!! The Black and gold motor is very sharp as well.

I have used Magna, Alabama, Marne, Clearwater and caravan heads And some other brand one Not sure what it was.... The Magna ones are the only ones that I would say is much diff at all. With that said some of them are a bit ruffer on the ports but if you just do a light polish your fine. .. The turbo you pick will make a much bigger diff on how well your car makes power a good turbo and manifold setup will make good power no matter what head you have, -
no they are all lower comp then the OEM head

Magna head mmmmmm not sure it can be used with the tbi intake unless you have an adapter one of the coolet passages is larger and it May leak. well I guess you could try just not sure lol -
I have changed timming on the dyno in the past and it made more power with 8 then 10. Are you sure the cam timming is right thats not much power at all. Not a big fan of the 20g Ithere.....

With the lower comp motor you should be fine running 14-15psi with a IC I bet the cam is a bit off you should be closer to 20-21vac

What Vac are you at Idle? Have you done a compression test? I have done 3 turbo swaps in monteros and all made a huge diff... Don't bother with a diff cam. If you want a bit more I would run like 13-14psi you should be able to do that NP if your fuel pump is not a baby thing. I say something has to be wrong for it to not feel like much diff after the swap.

I think the reason that some are saying its not all the shops fault is.... If they were to bring their car it would have been fine if that had happen idling for some time. Now your very much right as well tho it should not need to be running at all. Lets just leave this all alone now....... Merry Christmas!!! -

I think you some what right there..... Put it on a temp switch....... you can still have it wired up to a switch just make a fail safe next time. I have done that on a few of mine. If you don't want it on a lot get a high temp switch. -
If you want 300hp I would go with a larger turbo. Now with that said 95% of people would be more then fine with like 250-270hp range. The quest at that power level is alot of fun to drive and you can get a low 13's with that hp range. A 16g is right in the sweet spot for this hp.

mmm cool the end of the head on the magna New head then the quest they are about 4 times the size has much better cooling. Blocking it off is asking for something...

It can be done but not going to be any where near stock any thing.... What I would do... Build motor high compression motor 8.5-9:1 MPI Intake make sure you can control the timing. Header should be fairly ez to get a montero one I bet could be put in with out to much work. and then run about 10psi and your done. Yes you could do a dual changed deal but that's going to be a but load of a lot of work. With just super on there it would be fun not going to be earth shattering but I bet you would be very close to the 300hp range. or......... run your stock motor remove the turbo put header on there. Run the stock intake make it tune able, run 15psi and your done. I bet you could do this with less then 1K. -

LOL ya it was bad..... On that same trip going back to MI we drove in to a bad snow storm. Was going 5-10 mph on the interstate. I would say had MIN 2-3 mile back up due to us. WE could not let it idle had to keep pushing the clutch in and trying to coast. Got off at first place we could. WE TRIED to take a left hand turn but the Slope of the center of the road was to steep we had to get out and push it. Waited about 6hrs before we tried to move. That was with 245/45 summer only tires and super stiff clutch.
