Any other Camaro, Starquest fans out there?

Recommended Posts

My girlfriend has a 1968 396 4 speed ss camaro it has a lil oer 27,000 on the clock it was her dads and he gave each one of his kids one of his cars after there parents divorce . Ill try to get pics of the car the only thing that isn't original on the car is the engine currently, the engine is on a stand in the garage beside the car and a 800 hp 427 sits in the car i think this was done to try out the engine after a build and just sat in the car for the last 5 years lol ......You would just have to meet these ppl they have built engines sitting everywhere there really big into racing .....Her father even told me he would let me put one of the race car engines into the quest to keep me from spending all this money on the rb25 (that was a hard decision) but like i said ill try to get some pics of it soon as i am in another state right now sitting on the train....

Ive had a few, my last was a 69 that believe it or not was a daily driver for me and my ex wife for many years, i loved that car,i still regret selling, at the time things were tight moneywise and someone made me a offer i couldnt refuse,on the positive side, the buyer did a fantastic and expensive ground up resto and kept in touch with me sending pics once in a while, the car lives on and in good hands. Nice to see Camaro fans here. I own a 1969 SS-RS Camaro that I rebuilt many years ago. It has many options.

Here's a pic:

I like both as well...

My '68 SS vert..

I am the second owner and it is 100% original, no paint work, original motor, everything. Swapped the wheels out temporarily the OEM ones are at my house. My father bought this car for me when I was 8 years old for a fraction of what it would go for today. 20 years later I can honestly say I can NEVER sell it!

My '84 Starion ES, just picked it up... pardon the appearance!

And the '87 TSi I sold last summer. Had this one for about five years...

my dad has an 88 IROC convertible with a little over 40k miles on it...dropped a crate LT1 in it with Vortech heads, 383 cam, and 454 injectors (some other little things as well)...

ate my grandfather's 99 Cobra alive...lol

That was our Florida vacation car...but, since we've moved here, it now spends most of its time in the garage. <_<

brad, thats is a super sweet SS!!! i like the white ES also but im a bit partial;)

Hmmm, a '68 Camaro and an '84 quest... your a man after my own heart Matt! Thanks for the words, that Camaro is such a big part of my life I cant imagine being without it!

Trailer hitch on a starion........ :P

Yes there is! Bolted right to the rear diff believe it or not. I use it too! The town I live in does not have trash pick up so I have to make dump runs, and you can be sure I am not putting trash inside the car! I am also going to use it to tow my spring project cafe racer motorcycle around.

Close, the bike is not there yet.... looking for the right candidate. Early 70's CB350 or CL350. What direction are you going with the Kawi? Cafe style of Street fighter style?

Before I found my '88 Fiji Conquest, I was looking into an 86-88 Iroc-Z Camaro.

Not really Camaros, but I have several 2nd Gen T/A's.. I guess it's the same thing since they are both F-bodies :P

My '78 T/A.

Engine I'm building for it. Butler Performance 468ci, built from a 400 Pontiac block.

Here is the '76 Trans Am I restored for my mom. Bought it from a guy in Minnesota in 2004, it was a Texas car it's whole life (until the guy moved to Minnesota but never registered the car) When I bought it.. I converted it to the '73 nose when I repainted it.

I have a few others but they are projects, so I won't post those. :P

Good luck in the search for one of those bikes. I actually know of a guy that just gave away a cl350 in less than stellar shape but they dont pop up too often.

logikfive, that is a beautiful car.

Since that post I have picked up a bike, 1966 Suzuki X6 Hustler. Its a VERY rare 250cc Two stroke. Quite a quick bike for its day. 0-60 in 6 seconds was serious stuff in 1966. Its a project but it will hopefully be done by spring. I will be doing a build thread on the Do The Ton forums.
