David Adams
I know I don't post here very often, I'm not really a forum person. But my car is no stranger, I'd presume. I didn't feel this was worthy of "Meeting Planning" because of the nature of the post. At Any Rate . . .I'll try to be as concise as possible. The best way to do that is numbered bullets. 1. Posting this because I'd like to network outward and meet people in the hopes of building a strong resource of Starquest owners, mechanics, enthusiasts, etc as I am . . . 2. Building a track car out of my car. I know, I know. It's not much yet, because the financial "rug" was pulled from underneath me just as I was about to tear into her. So she's got her drift/racing "livery", a racing seat, a rebuilt engine (thanks to Frenchii) and a few other things like a baffled oil pan without much else. 3. I don't expect "something for nothing". I'm a proponent of paying for QUALITY work, you can ask Frenchii, I try to go above and beyond as far as being a paying customer. I also am looking to learn, so if while you're working on the car you can show me what is being done, or you can point and say "turn that bolt and lift that part" that'd be the best. That way I can work on the car if/when it breaks at the track. In summary, it's just a way for me to meet some SQers, motorsports enthusiasts and mechanically savvy people. The three aren't required, nor are they preferred. As long as we have fun tinkering and talking shop. As with ANY track car, any help is greatly appreciated especially if that help comes in the form of EDUCATION. I love learning and don't mind getting my knuckles busted, hands burnt and fingernails dirty in the effort to learn more about my car. The perils of being a track-junky who never took the opportunity to learn mechanics, I guess. LOL! Thanks to any and all who may respond to this (in advance) David Adams#37 87 Chrysler Conquest TSi PS: Oh, and don't worry. Although she's stock, I still take her to the track. My philosophy is that seat-time is seat-time. Whether it's tuned or barely running.
Fanta
Well, you already know me, in November I'll have a garage that we can fiddle and break bolts in!

JAinsworth
I live near Macon and would be glad to come up if you have a mini-meet and greet but it couldn't be for at least 3-4 weeks at best. There are a lot of SQers around Atlanta.area that I'm sure would be up to a get-together.Jimmy
D3UC3S
I'm just north of ATL in Woodstock. Once my gas tank is in I would love to get together with some fellow SQ guys.
R-R-Quest
If we didn't have so many car projects going on here, and it wasn't a 3.5 hour drive (one way) we would definitely like to participate. However, if you have plans to run the car at VIR or Carolina Motorsports Park, let us know, we'd be happy to led a hand while you are in the area. -Dan
David Adams
AAAAAA! *rolls around happily* Thank you guys SO MUCH for responding! This makes me so happy! I wouldn't mind hiring someone to do my coilovers and engine work for me. I want to learn as much as possible so if I can sit-in while you work, that'd be perfect, but if you work better "alone" I understand that too, LOL! David Adams
OH! By "engine work" I don't mean like maintenance, I mean tuning and power adding.
D3UC3S
I could take a honda down to nuts and bolts and rebuild it. Unfortunately, This is my first starquest and I admittedly could not do the same with this. I need to get with some of you guys and learn the bugs and figure out just exactly what I have as well. David Adams
I look forward to meeting you all! I really do! As far as getting the car back up to speed, working with Justin Marble (via his unique coaching method), to get my car up to spec. Trying to get it running premiere first before I do any real modification. But, like I said earlier, I don't mind beating on her at the track in stock mode. The mods can come later, I'll enjoy them more that way. I'll try to go to Atlanta Motor Speedway on the 23rd, I'll setup a "meeting" for that, so all can attend who want to drive and watch. You all are so SO awesome!
Starfighterpilot
I'd really like to meet you and give any advice that I can. PM me and I'll give you my phone number. Some of us Georgia Starquesters are kicking around the option of having a chassis dyno meet like we did in the early/mid 2000's. If memory serves us right we would have about 15 to 20 Starquest's show up for the dyno meet. For What It's Worth. KEN
David Adams
Heck yeah! That sounds awesome! I'll shoot you a PM straight away! I love learning about her, so far I've had to break something to learn anything, I'd like to negate step one and skip right to step two going forward, however, HAHA! huero
Im down in the Columbus, GA. area. Im back on the road again after redoing the fuel tank and all that good stuff. I don't really post much on here, but I read as much as I can. It'd be nice to meet with some other questers though so that I can pick your brain and get some more insight on how to get and keep these cars running. I already have the old tank unhooked. Just need to roll it out, drain, and roll it up on ramps.
