  1. I'll keep you guys up to date. Not quite ready to start the partout train yet, if I cannot sell the car whole, I'll just keep it and ship it up here.
  2. Make Offers, Make Offers, Make Offers! Before we get started, I want to say that this car has been so much fun both on and off the track. But alas, it seems fate is working against me. I've moved up to Indiana, the car is still down in Alpharetta, GA and the likelihood of her coming up is LOW . . .sooooo. Trying this. The bad part . . .it runs and drives but smokes (blue) and lacks power. It's also a track car . . . .it's a track car . . . it's a track car . . .it's a track car. I don't know what it will take to make it a daily driver, but it's a track car, LOL! It's not registered, it's not insured, the plate is for decoration. Mods: --Custom Roll-Cage by Lifespeed Racing, Alpharetta, GA --ST Performance Sway Bars - Used but still VERY responsive! --D2 Coilovers - Brand New NEVER USED --XTC Stage 3 Clutch - Nearly 0 miles --New Brake Rotors (blanks NOT PICTURED ) --Hydraulic Ebrake (all lines still ran, just bypassed) --Corbeau FX1 Pro with 6 Point Harness Driver's Side --G-Force 5-point Racing Harness Passenger side --88/89 ECU --Ebay 'OMP' Steering Wheel --Custom turbo-back exhaust fabbed and installed by Frenchii himself, Tyler French --Mugen style rear GT Wing. --Ralliart Shift Knob --Lots of love and care? HAHAHA! No seriously, I do love this car and it KILLS me to see it go. It kills me even more to see her sit. She needs to go to someone like a John Lazorack III who can turn her into the HPDE car she deserves to be. Unfortunately I'm not that guy. Seriously, PM me and make an offer. $3000 is what I'm hoping for, but I'm not close-minded. Thank you! This is NOT intended for the street, please understand that going in Thank you again.
  3. HAHAHA! Not so much into the brony stuff anymore, the fandom destroyed it for me then the feeling of "guilty by association" overrode any enjoyment I had in the show. Once my fiancee stopped watching, I just dropped it all together. You guys are all so very awesome, I'm flattered, humbled and honored that you even remember who I am. Thank you so much. Here's some updates of Derpy as she sits now. Awaiting a full engine rebuild with upgrades to the turbo and fuel system. We'll see what that yields. Thank you all again! 4. But I figured I'd share and maybe it'll inspire a few others to reach out as well. Perhaps with enough of us contacting them asking for support, they'll throw us a few bones? Not sure, figured it was worth a shot. Here's what I sent, as a template: Hello Godspeed, I'm a huge fan of your products, my RX7 ran GS coilovers and my Mazdaspeed Miata will as well. I am writing on behalf of a tiny yet powerful community of enthusiasts who drive the 1986 through 1989 Mitsubishi Starion and Chrysler Conquest models. I don't know how familiar one may be with that particular marque but these cars are amazing and, while I am already in possession of coilovers, it would be amazing to see more support for these cars. With your help, we can keep a dying breed of car from fading away. The limit also doesn't have to be drawn at suspension: These cars are turbocharged from the factory but with limited support we are stuck performing lots of custom and one-off modifications. Godspeed turbochargers, intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, radiators, intercoolers, brake setups, etc would all prove to be a huge benefit to our community and you would nearly have a monopoly on it as, mentioned previously, the support for our cars is slowly fading away each year. While our numbers aren't extreme, there are more than enough Starion and Conquest drivers to make parts manufacturing worth while, the passion from each driver would ensure that your sales numbers are adequate and that research, design and development costs are promptly met! I'm also sure that there are no shortage of persons who would either: 1. Be willing to let Godspeed use their car for testing. or 2. Have a second Conquest/Starion for testing purposes. I understand this request may be a bit extreme, but I promise that if you at least give us a shot at having some parts made, we'll return the favor with a rather sizable and loyal customer base. Thank you, David Adams
  5. Nick is an amazing seller that honestly just wants the best out of the community. He even puts up with my annoying questions! LOL! He recently got me some D2s FOB (fresh off the boat) and I'm so very eager to get these going. I highly recommend this guy! If anyone has the opportunity to buy something from him, do it!

  7. It truly is a community that makes you proud to say you're a member of. It's not like other car forums when you only want to ever log in anonymously simply to catch sales threads.
  8. Really, I do . . .from the bottom of my heart. You all are THE MOST helpful and insightful community always willing to lend a hand. What brought this to light was that I just purchased a 1990 RX7 Turbo II (in Fanboy White of course ) and went to ask for some help. I realize that I probably asked a question that was answered before, but the RX7 community, being MUCH MUCH younger and far less mature (huehuehue, mature) is very quick to let you know that you aren't as smart or educated on something as you think you are. The worst part is, my question was never answered. I was tempted to start a thread HERE because I am almost certain that at least ONE of you either owns or has owned an RX7 before. But yes . . .you guys are the best. . . all of you, really!
  9. YOU KNOW TOO MUCH! I'll need help hiding your body though . . .you just stay there.
  10. Well I'll be honest, what spawned my desire for this was my searching for various setups about weight reduction and things of that nature. Many of you have helped out by replying in that thread. However, the OP stated that he wanted to maintain a "streetable" setup. That wasn't my intention, I wanted to reduce as much weight as possible, cabin-quality be damned, as long as it passes tech. People who have no interest in racing their car wouldn't want that, and because the majority of us are not concerned with motorsports, the motorsports specific threads get buried rather quickly. I recently picked up another FC RX7, my 2nd to date, and remembered the forums there had specific sections geared towards motorsports and various motorsports within. Granted, a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTT more people are racing RX7s than Starquests, but (as mentioned) we probably could still get away with a general "Motorsports" [Discuss Drifting, Drag, Auto-X, Circuit, Rally, etc. Whatever floats your boat legally] section. Just my opinion though.
  11. HAHAHA! Yes! Thank you all so much! It does suck, but hopefully that means I can swap in something gnarly. We'll see Thanks again for checking it out, it means a lot to me.
  12. Had an absolute BLAST. Can't wait to get out there again once my vehicle is mended. Big thanks to iTrack Motorsports for throwing the event together and a shout out to GTChannel for promoting my video! It's nothing special . . .just trying to break the car . . .and succeeding in my attempts, LOL! Link to the Blog! http://dadamsdrift.w...shake-down-run/
  13. Unfortunately no, it was all yellow, I don't recall the hood being black
  14. Why isn't one of these a sticky thread? LOL! I saw a Yellow SQ on Old Milton at Kimball Bridge Road in Alpharetta, GA around 1:45-2:00 yesterday (3/31/14)
  15. I think I broke it . . .she gave it her all at the track . . .then I kept going . . .huehuehue
  16. Once I read what Scotty said, I knew that's the idea I wanted to try. That sounds so simple yet it's so ingenious that I can't believe I didn't think about it. I'll give that a go next time
  17. Damn, thanks so much guys. I'll have to try to pick some up after this event. I'll be on the road by 6AM so there's no time to stop at Home D-Pot but I'll definitely give that a go. I haven't even lowered my car yet and I'm already struggling and it's just the front air dam. If I was brave enough to back onto the trailer I could make it just fine, LOL! I can't imagine what it's going to be like when I'm actually running a full suspension tune. I should buy a trailer with a flat surface but my problem is I have no where to store it. My community would blow a fuse if they saw a car trailer permanently parked outside. Thanks for the advice again everyone, it means a bunch. Oh and StarquestJOE /)
  18. Sooo, my car has only been lowered about an inch and a half and I scrape bad getting onto a U-Haul Trailer. I know the simple answer is to not use a U-Haul trailer but I was wondering if any lowered quests had any tips for getting on and off these beasts. My coilovers will be here next month and before I ruin my airdam any further, I would like to see if there are any ways to try to preserve it as much as possible, LOL! Thanks gang.
  19. I think we have enough members who participate in motorsports to make this a viable section. We can even divide it up into sub-categories such as Drifting, Road Racing, Drag Racing, Rally, SOLO, etc. This way we can also differentiate modifications from those that are just for those who want a fast/nimble street car and those who are building their car as a predominantly or proprietary track car. *shrugs* Just thinking outloud
  20. I'll take a look at that evap box and get rid of the g-meter. I have deleted the ABS so I guess that's next. Lexan will get ordered in that case. The cage was fabbed and didn't include door bars. Didn't really need em for Time Trials so I didn't bother, but I'm going to go ahead and get them welded in. My fabricator is a beast.
  21. Thanks John, I'm still new to TT's and HC's so I don't know what the average run time is, looking at the Chasing The Dragon videos it appears that the drivers are in the car for up to 20 minutes per heat. I didn't want to do it at first, but I think this car is going to be a trailer queen mostly. I do plan on getting ladder-bars or X-bars for the doors but for now will hold off as I don't want to worry about things like that until I'm actually competing. No sense in worrying about completing the cage if my performance and driving aren't up to spec yet. Here's where the car sits now . . .I haven't completely pulled the dash and components yet because I have no idea how I'll mount the gauges and other essential buttons for operation. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a63/nightmajik/The%20Epic%20Conquest/20140325_143803_zps16a30da4.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a63/nightmajik/The%20Epic%20Conquest/20140325_143944_zps6c6c6400.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a63/nightmajik/The%20Epic%20Conquest/20140325_144008_zpse32dddc3.jpg Short of making a lightweight dash, similar to how you've done it, I don't know what to do.
  22. I never thought about the power locks, that's a good idea. I was thinking about having some lightweight doors made or having mine gutted and just using fasteners to keep the door closed when running my laps. I believe working head and tail lights, as well as brake lights are required to signal other drivers when running HPDE's, I'm not sure how Time Trials and Hill Climbs will work yet as this is my first year of competition. Thank you so much for the assistance, it's great having a resource like SQc with all of you veterans of the SQ posting. It saves a LOT of time and headache.
  23. 2500 pounds sounds about where I need to be aiming, I was hoping that 2400 was readily possible but it seems that (after reading here and in other places) that I may have my head in the clouds with that thought.
