Exhaust studs

I bought an '86 recently and found that four of the exhaust studs were stripped. I pulled the head yesterday and found that the PO had tried to drill out two of the holes with the head on the car and they are all wallowed out and way too big now. I need some options on how to repair this. If there's enough metal to do so, I'm thinking drilling and tapping to 12 mm and cutting the head off a low grade bolt, inserting it in the head, then drilling and tapping the bolt to 8 mm. Stock radio/stereo only works 3/4 of the time...

It only seems to work about 75% of the time... The display is always lit but usually if its gonna work, in about 5 mins of starting the engine, it goes dark then you turn on the power button and it works. You can play with the ignition and not start the car and it will work, but then actually start the car and it won't work...The dispaly will always be lit with the 2 Goose Eggs lit in the lower half if the antenna is down or in the upper if it is up..it may stay lit up like that the entire time
