Weeping 5 Speed Tranny Output Shaft Seal

By Starfighterpilot,
Because of the miles that the Old Broad has on her the 5 speedy output shaft seal has worn a groove in it's mating surface on the drive shaft yoke which fits over the tranny output shaft. I'm tired of having to add gear lube to the tranny to make up for the gear lube weepage - not to mention the oily mess that it makes on the bottom of the chassis. I was skulking around Rock Auto today and found this shaft sleeve which "should" supposedly eliminate this weeping problem. http://www.rockauto..

I need some options on how to repair this. If there's enough metal to do so, I'm thinking drilling and tapping to 12 mm and cutting the head off a low grade bolt, inserting it in the head, then drilling and tapping the bolt to 8 mm. Any other sugg
Stock radio/stereo only works 3/4 of the time...

By stesir,
It only seems to work about 75% of the time... The display is always lit but usually if its gonna work, in about 5 mins of starting the engine, it goes dark then you turn on the power button and it works. You can play with the ignition and not start the car and it will work, but then actually start the car and it won't work...The dispaly will always be lit with the 2 Goose Eggs lit in the lower half if the antenna is down or in the upper if it is up..it may stay lit up like that the entire time
