87 block with 88 head

Hey guys I have a quick question I just . Ordered a head gasket for my 87 quest and it was manufactured in july of 86 and there were two types of heads well basically long story short I was curious whether I have the right engine and head combo I have the stock 87 lower end with a head from an 88 whats the differences between the two and will the 88 head work on the 87 block please and thank you

I love both of my '86ers, but some things seem to boggle the minds of all you Primary/Secondary injector people. Here's the issue. My DD started kinda missing, right after I finally filled my tank completely full, which hasn't been able to happen for a long time (because of the price of gas). So Cars & Coffee..... I must say I guess in CLE we have a big gathering but I have never gown. Ive been to plenty of other shows (some long running) so I know how it goes. Everyone is now ranting about Cars & Coffee and how they have gained populatiry, and become out of contorl. Issues with people being idiots, doing burn outs, people almost being run over, people brining cars that are total POS cars, are not special, rare, limited run. And the other big issue is say like a corvet
