  1. So here we are....Let's try adding little updates... I brought the car back home January 13, 2023. Made the 16hr round trip from South Carolina to Ohio and back home to South Carolina. Hauled the car back with a Uhaul trailer. The 1JZ/R154 swap was completed and car was dyno'd and ready. Encountered 2 snow storms on way home (in KY and TN)...Which was pretty sketchy driving through the mountains with the car on a trailer. Now fast forward to today......... The car is safe in the garage. I got the exterior/interior put all back together.
  2. I just sent him a private message on Facebook. I'll send him the link to this thread.
  3. Vacuum advance Bad secondary injector MAF Boost leak Bad fuel pump Clogged fuel filters etc
  4. Great for us who own these cars. But that buyer must not have cared. They could have found just as nice an example for around $20k-$25k....But of course, they paid the premium to buy it from a premium auction...
  5. There’s no limit to what I’ll pay for convenience and promptness 😁
  6. Welcome. And I know what you mean when you say the car feels sticky. www.enginemachineservice.com for all you parts. That website is tan by Randy (DAD here on the forum)
  7. Thank y’all. I had zero issues paying a shop to do the swap. Other than the labor charge, I had no concerns. It is much more expensive than building it yourself though. Yikes But for the $$$, it’s done wayyyy faster than I would do all the work, and I also don’t have to google/search/forum/ask for help for hours and hours on end about every little thing… I hate that the most about working on cars. The constant googling and searching…. Now I simply go pick it up and enjoy it. Way sooner and without a care in the world, and way poorer…
  8. I literally just created a YouTube channel to host that video. @LudeQuest I’ll make some content around my Prelude and the Conquest also…
  9. (scroll down for video) Well my build thread doesn’t exist anymore… I’ll just do a timeline If anyone remembers… May2009–bought car not running Nov2015–finally running rebuilt w/ 16G May2017–dyno’d 265whp w/ 16G MS2 ECU June2017–blew HG at drag strip July2017-July2020-rebuilt engine, went MPI, struggled with tuning..quit July2020–decided 1JZ/R154 swap Mar2022–took roller to TRA in Ohio Jan2023–car is complete and ready for pickup. Team Rocket Auto in Hamilton did the full engine swap for me. I took them the roller and all parts. Results: 617whp @ 26psi 750whp @ 35psi
  10. Happy New Year. I hope my build is a blessing this coming week. My 1JZ swap is literally at the tuner right now waiting to get strapped to the dyno.
  11. Never too early. Y’all switching it up or what? I keep reading about it….
  12. Probably $1000-$2000. Depends on your budget and the sellers asking price. Id assume you could find rollers for $1500
  13. 86/87 widebody have 4-bolt axles. Not as strong as 6-bolt. 86 has manual seatbelts. 87 has auto belts. 88/89 widebody has 6-bolt axles. Auto belts. The SHP trim came with adjustable suspension (non-functional 34years later) and wider wheels. if you’re going for a swap and plan on launching it often, you can upgrade to DSS axles made for 800whp. (Driveshaft Shop) if you aren’t launching; the 4-bolt and 6-bolt will hold up to a lot of power with no issues.
  14. This forum is struggling to stay alive with extremely limited membership, and we still have this silliness…. Surely the 9 people who frequent here can all get along. 😁
  15. Had mine done at Innovative Wheel Solutions Easley, SC It’s an hour away from me. I dropped them off and they were done in 3 days. I’d be happy to assist if you wanted to ship them to me.
  16. I just had a set of Honda wheels fully refinished for $160/wheel… Cost $640 for all 4 wheels. People are raping you on price.
  17. City and State would help. Pictures also. And ultimately, Facebook will net you the most views and attention…
  18. Maybe you’re referring to me. I gave up on the cold cranking rpm noise issue and went 1JZ. While I was removing everything for the 1JZ swap, I pulled the MS ECU from the passenger side kick panel and saw the shield wire was broken on the VR cable coming out the back of the ECU (that goes to the dizzy). I assume this broken ground was where all my rpm spiking was coming from. This was a plug-n-play MS ECU from Scott.
  19. I’ll be there with my wife and 2 boys like always. After they get settled in at the cabin each evening, I’ll drive on over to the Vacation Lodge and hang out.
