So after all the work to the ol festiva , I took it to the track tonight (orlando speedworld) and beat it bad. My new goal was a 14.99(sub 15 sec.) and what do you know it did a little better than expected ......

60'....2.23

330...6.114

1/8...9.243

mph...78.82

1/4...14.331

mph...95.35

How does this compare to Quests?

P.S. traction is an issue when you only weigh 1800 lbs. spun bad in 1st and 2nd

you would be a fair share of unmodified quests with those numbers. Would probably end up being decided by the driver...

I've witness modified ones pulling slower 1/4 mile times than that Festiva just did <_<

A long time ago a fried was messing with a festiva he had. Ended up tacking on large thick piece of metal as far forward as he could for weight over the wheels. Those are nice numbers, bet it's fun on the street.

1.6/1.8 festiva swaps been done for years

http://www.sdsefi.com/features/jan01festiva.htm

you'd need a 3L twincam starquest to keep up mod for mod.

1800cc in 1800 pounds is a tough displacement to weight ratio to beat.

My nissan ca18det powered rwd toyota starlet has a similar ratio, *except* its rear wheel drive. A very similar daily driven gone 11.1 T3/T4 @16psi, old virgin motor.

2.6 equally moded street starquest won't gear near that.

I saved my BP 1.8 from a previous scapped escort GT, with intention of a festiva swap, but rwd starlet cam up instead.

Probe GT 2.5L swaps into 90s escorts is another killer 2500cc in ~2600 pounds.

Festiva is far more unsuspecting tho.... my pos starlet looks as crappy too :)
