KT
I pulled my Quest out of the garage today to find a rear caliper leaking fluid. As far as I know, there isn't a rear upgrade brake kit (please correct me if I'm wrong). So, what is everyone using as a replacement? I'd prefer new, or near new, but if the answer is to rebuild the stock caliper, then I'll do that. Anyways, links to parts or rebuild kits would be appreciated. My car isn't fast, but if it won't stop, I'll have to learn body work... Thanks! KT

KT
Rockauto prices range from $63-$93. Is there any real difference?
87redcat
I paid about 90 a piece for rebuilts from O'reilly's. that was about 4 yrs ago
tsi_tom
On one set I saw they used needle bearings for the e-brake lever. The other set used a bushing for the lever.
MikeMeyerhoff
Metal bushing? With the amount of force in that shaft, its hard to believe any plastic bushing would hold up. All the ones I've seen had bearings.
tsi_tom
I think it was metal.
Starfighterpilot
Ya should Strongly consider also replacing the "rubber" brake hoses to all of your brake calipers. They are as old as the calipers - if not older. For What It's Worth. KEN
KT
I've had Goodrich SS lines for years, but it looks like the rear calipers are due for a refresh.
techboy
If you do it through RockAuto like most people mentioned I'm pretty sure you have send a core back in. (That's if you do the whole caliper, not just the rebuild kit). I called Dorman once directly since they are local to me, but they wouldn't rebuild for me individually if I dropped them off, they said I had to go through a distributor/vendor - BOOO!!. I need to make friends with someone who works there
CaliConquestAlex
Beware ordering replacements from rockauto. I ordered both sides and the pssenger side one had broken ebrake linkage and didn't work. I cleaned up my stock one and put it on and it was fine. mbruneaux
I ordered through Rock auto and Amazon and most were wrong. Eventually i got the right ones, Amazon has a better return polocy if i remember correctly. Don't send in your core unt you know it's correct.
