BoostedBimmer
I wonder how many of them are on the road today, they seem just as rare as our cars. I cant even remeber the last time I ever saw one...
dmyers151
Lol, I owned one for a few months a few years ago. You certainly don't see many, whether turbo or base model. Mine was a '87 Shelby Z, 2.2T, 5spdhttp://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr71/dmyers151/0f992d76.jpg-http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr71/dmyers151/74d1160c.jpg-http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr71/dmyers151/5be9abea.jpg

R-R-Quest
Didn't like 'em then, still don't like 'em today. FWD, pfuut. Had a buddy when I was in the Army that spent a ton of money on the engine in his, BIG turbo, forged this, ported that. I still spanked him in the straights and corners in my all stock '85 IROC. Stock iroc in 85 is rated for a 15.2 1/4th StockStock daytona turbo in 87 is rated for a 15.8 1/4 stock. So as long as they payed good money for a big twin scroll turbo (the motor is finiky about that) It should have wooped on an Iroc. I mean even stock with just bumping up fuel, raising boost to 15# and a good tune, 13's are pretty common for them. MotoCam360
First turbo car... or any car for that matter - '85 dodge daytona turbo..... loved that beast. My dad said there was no way in hell I was getting the red Conquest I spotted as my first car.... Daytona did the job till I was 19 and got my red '

TexasQuest
Cool cars, I remember seeing more around when I was a kid back in the early 90's especially compared to SQ's. I'm sure a lot more were sold than our cars. Saw one last week.................in a junkyard. You really don't see them anymore, mainly turbo dodge enthusiasts. ucw458
When I was looking for a fun project car I wanted to get a daytona. But then I found out a SQ was RWD, The choice was obvious

mstieg
I had an 84 Laser w/ bad turbo, then a good red Daytona Pacifica (subtle ground effects similar to Starion / Porsche 944). Loved that as my HS/college car until a deer jumped on it and trans was on last leg. Was GREAT for pulling through snowy winters up north. Power everything except manual sunroof. Grey interior. Even had monster trunk that fit my subwoofer box (that didn't fit Starion which I've had since). not my car, but close to it: http://jeremylawson.com/wp-content/gallery/88-daytona/88Daytona1.jpg
