UPDATE 2/27/15: Ok gang...a little update for you guys. I've priced out new wiper cowls for other applications/vehicles out there and have found pricing for most two-piece configurations to fall between $120 to $235. Keep in mind that the ones I'm able to find are usually produced in extremely large runs numbering in the thousands, which brings down per-unit cost considerably. Our little community doesn't quite have that buying power/leverage, which presents a little difficulty on our end. But after crunching numbers, I believe I can get this project to fall in the $175.00 range for a brand new set of cowls, which will also include mounting accessories/hardware. I would need to order a minimum of (60) sixty units to achieve this estimated pricing. Shipping would be an additional cost as per usual.

So, providing you're happy with the eventual prototype, who's game at this price point?

Cheers and Thanks,

Nick

This will of course replace the stock pieces, so in that sense it will be an OEM style piece. But it will be a more contemporary design, especially in regards to the vent slats.

Well I need to see,,,I'm interested.

I haven't driven my conquest or really started working on getting it running quite yet because of other projects, but I don't want to miss out on group buys. Seeing how this thread is 21 pages long, can anyone give a brief statement as to why we would want this wiper cowl? Does our factory one typically crack, fade, fall apart, or fail in some other way? Are these going to be injection molded? Don't really see any other way.

No, injection molding is far too expensive. We just don't have enough people to make it happen. We'd need about 200 order up front to make that happen.

Sorry for the delay on this fellas. We took the brunt of the terrible weather last week here in Texas. Lost most of our appliances and possibly one of the cars. Give me a few days to recover, and I'll get back on this.

Good old Mother Nature can be a mean bish . Take all the time you need. Hope you didn't lose to much to the storm.

I know it looked terrible on the news.

I'm definitely in for one as well if its not too late.

Car has been sitting for 4 years and just started to get it back on the road just this week and one of my cowl pieces is broken in half. The other one is held on by zip ties.
