verde2002
Guy next door is a d*ck, look at that fence, lol. Looks like a real nice place man, congrats. It is so odd to me that homes dont have their back yards fenced in. In Socal you will never see a lot that is not fenced in. You will never see chain linked fences for back yards either unless in the ghettos. To me on open backyard is like a public space and does not feel like it belongs to me. Don't know what you paid for it but that house with the 1/2 acre in Los Angeles is worth well over $1,000,000. Beautiful house though, congrats. In miami, good luck having an open yard, and a house like that, with the much land. Someone would break in during the first week. Something like that will easily exceed $1M here as well. But congrats on the kicka** house! Hope you have plenty of great memories to make in that house.

nomad
Thanks everyone. Once we get moved in and setteled the first order of business will be to fence in the backyard haha. Then put a garage door on the back of the small garage and pour about a 20x15 concrete pad behind it so I can pull through to the back yard. And as for price, Im glad I don't live in LA or Miami! For $1 million, I could have bought the whole block here in AL
Guest
Congrats man. Yeah I second that on the price of that kind of property in SoCal, maybe out in the desert in the middle of no where it be $250-300k, but I'm talking tumbleweeds and cactus yo! nomad
Very nice! Was it brand new? Mostly I'm asking if the builder actualy finished that workshop area like that? No, we are the sencond owners. It was built in 2006.The former owner was into pottery and that is the reason for the shelving in the workshop. On the electrical panel it has the 220v labled "Kiln". And back to an earlier topic, this is what can be had in Huntsville for a million bucks.http://www.valleymls.com/(f1w1sb45duokslqxsqltja45)/Version15Results.aspx?ID=E533DA503C21F852EE524D30AAE6EDEF&sitecode=WP3471&TP=DV Edited June 8, 2012 by nomad
Mike_StarionTSI
That house....would EASILY go for 3x that amount. That house is 7 322 Sq ft (.41 Sq acres) http://www.trulia.com/property/3080213804-943-N-Venetian-Dr-Miami-FL-33139 Try that. a bit bigger, almost 15x the price. Ridiculous.
