last night and tonight I spent stripping 2 of the "new" 9's, and getting them cleaned up and painted. Used aircraft paint remover, then scuffed the whole face and lips with a red scotch-brite, then the lip with 1500, then polished the lip, taped off the lips and painted the spokes gold. These 2 wheels will get the 225/45's for the front, for the time being I'm just gonna use the 245/45 Sumitomo's on my original set of rear SHP's

about a week to get her running for the All Mitsu cookout

Got the last intercooler pipe painted last night, installed this morning. Then got the new front tires mounted and balanced. put the 245 on the back with the 33mm spacer as well, but gonna need to dial in some more camber out back.

Well, all the suspension was loosely in place, got the passenger side rear all tightened up this morning, halfshaft bolts torqued to 40, and the strut bolts tightened down, plus got the the camber adjusted one setting (mookeeh adjustable pillowballs).

Camber is good, the 245 has a "touch" of poke, one more setting would get it to tuck, but I think I'm just gonna use the wheels the 245/45's are on, and get the new 225/50's put on them. I test fit the other 225/45 on the back, and it seems the 225/50 will be perfect.

combined offsets front and rear... -15mm and -33mm on 9's with 225's

And the 225/45 test fit (will be a 225/50 though)

Fender lip rolling started last night, scuffed the paint off, then folded it over with a hammer, then primered and painted

All 4 fender lips folded over and painted, rear interior re-installed, front camber adjusted on the driver's side (to match the passenger side), and the exhaust is hung, although I do need to make a new front hanger (my weld was crap on the DTHSTAR), and got the MN plates on...

big thanks to Allen (speedyquest) and Dwayne (Allen405) for coming and giving me a hand, we got the brakes and clutch bled, and set her on the ground. She needs to be raised a little up front so I can steer though.

well, she runs, but I'm tired and hungry, so I stopped for the night. speedyquest got some vid of the first startups though. still gotta put the front bumper on, then a little tuning, I'm giving myself 2 hours before we have to leave for the cookout tomorrow

Well, she made it there and back, but she's not running right. I think a mixture of bad gas, not timed right, and the need for more tuning on the MAFT is to blame. plus I need to bleed the brakes a LOT more.

I did come away with 2nd in the SQ category at the all mitsu cookout though. Lost out to Leeintheconquest's pristine bone stock 88

So many thing to like about this car. The larger intercooler and the little bit of the pipes you can see through the air-dam openings is just so cool. The height is awesome, as is the little bit of added camber. Wheels look awesome painted gold, with the maroon paint. Well done man, lots of inspiration right there :).
