That statement is a bit vague, what are you talking about?

The half shafts, the finish on them is still in good shape, just covered in grease.

Struts, your looking at 2 different suspensions, the short body MR2 setup is getting repainted and installed in this car.

Motor is not coming out yet, just gonna fix what needs fixing so I can drive this car this year, and swap motors and all that this winter/next spring

Well Tech here stopped by and helped me get the cylinder head off. The gasket wasn't blow per say, but the compression ring around cylinder #2 was ovaled, and has some deformation at the coolant passage holes near it. I'm thinking this was the problem. All the pistons were nice and clean, except #2 which was a little wet.

I'll grab pics tomorrow

Where I think the coolant was getting through on cylinder 2

And the parts that the DTHSTAR are donating. Brake master and booster, clutch slave, and the ABS delete line I bent up for it

Stock exhaust removed. Yes I was running the stock exhaust with a gutted rear cat and TEP downpipe (got it used)

ABS module removed, wiper motor had to come out to get it out

So, went back out, got the brake master cylinder, brake booster, charcoal canister, and the lines to and from the ABS module. When I go through the engine bay next winter/spring, the area under the brake and clutch master cylinders is going to be needing some attention

no pics, but the half shafts are now done (pliers broke on the last clamp, just picked up another set of pliers today) and got those popped back into the diff, didn't bolt them to the hubs yet though.

Also got the clutch slave cylinder swapped, just needs bled now. I decided not to pull the tranny and swap the 6-puck out, for now, it'll help get me on the road faster

And of course where I'd like to be able to tuck the wheel/tire too

And where I'll probably have to run it (taller tire than I'd prefer is on there)

aren't you going to tube this arches too?

Not yet. Right now I'm just trying to get the car on the road so I can enjoy it for a while. I'll come back to it next year and go through the engine bay to tub it and and respray inside the bay. The limiting factor for how low I can go is actually the height of the tire, it's currently a 235/40r18. Ideally I want a 245/35 which is nearly an inch shorter than the 235 and within 1/10" of the stock 245/45r16 in height

Went out, and did a little work on one of the front struts. Got one of the perch rings made from some 3/16" square stock I had laying around (trying to use what I already have to minimize my cost atm) Tack a spot, and the heat from that would allow me to bend it further around. Kept doing that till I made it all the way around, then came back and welded it on.

it's just all kinda sitting there, for a "test-fit". so it'll have to come apart to paint it (going gunmetal). But struts are almost done, create the spring perch on the other front, paint all 4, and install in the car.

Then install the front brakes, bleed all 4 corners, then throw the motor back together and mod hardpipes from the DTHSTAR. That's about all there is left to do

got 2 of 4 struts cleaned up and painted, a front and a rear.

I also got the other front spring perch done, and it turned out better than the first, and the Anti-M sleeve-over sits nearly perfectly on it
