The car's not purple, you should know better Robert. And although my car and I reside in Minnesota, It did not originate here like Prince did

On another note, picked up a vacuum bleeder kit, and figured out I was loosening the "bleeder valves" on the willwoods, wrong. In my haste to get her on the ground, I missed that I actually have to loosen the small black nipple valve that's threaded into the brass fitting, d'oh. So brakes are bleed, and I retarded the timing, and she runs better and the brake pedal feels good now.

I did however find a small coolant leak at the firewall, the heater hose off the intake. Despite that, I'm goning to drive it to work tomorrow, and investigate/fix the leak tomorrow night.

OH, and I filled her up, I need to go back into the gauge cluster and adjust the needle on the fuel gauge, was reading JUST under 1/2, and I put 16 gallons in her tonight, now the needle just about disappeared up past the full mark.

SO, the DTHSTAR's exhaust has been melting the bottom of the bumper skin, so I cut off the melted part, tweaked the rear hanger a bit, and made an aluminum heat shield that I riveted to the bumper skin (Home Depot didn't have any stainless sheet, otherwise I would have used that)

The part I cut out

It's not acutally touching the aluminum, but it is only a couple mm's off of it.

Dead keen to see how they would look.

Not that I don't think the 9's all round are completely bad-tail. Painted gold, with the maroon paint, and those tyres, they look farging awesome.

Mines all maroon, inside and out. I don't think you could get the all black interior. BUT, you could order them with black and tan, kawika's durban has black and tan.

I have a majority of an 89 tan interior (the tan bits anyway) that will likely find it's way into the car, I may try tan and Maroon, otherwise I'll flock the dash and use bits I have from other cars to go all black and tan.

A few of you were asking for a test fit of the XXR527's, They're 17x9.75, +25 offset with 245/40r17 tires, on the 15mm (not seated completely) and 33mm spacers I run with the 9's. A 25mm spacer up front, and maybe up to a 40mm one out back, same size tire up front, and possibly a 265 out back would fit nicely. Front is RIGHT on the springs, and the wheel doesn't seat completely due to the lack of recesses on the mounting face of the wheel for stock stud clearance (and I've already got the stockers trimmed 10mm)

Unghhhhhhh, and I'm spent.

By the sounds of it, these wouldn't be too bad on the rear of a narrowbody with around a 25mm spacer. But the fronts sounds a bit iffy... What suspension are you running? If it's hitting the springs on some slimmer coil-overs, it's be nigh impossible to get working properly on a narrowbody.

Cheers heaps though, they look fricken sweet.

I've got an MR2 setup on shortened housings with Anti-M sleeveovers (nearly the same as Cosmo's), so the spring and lower perch sit much lower than stock, if your on stock height casings, it may fit up front if you run 25mm spacers, after you trim the stock studs to be less than flush with the edge of the spacer (had to do this on my flatty, 25mm spacers and it needed 7mm trimmed off)

They do have 17x8.25 size as well, stagger it up

Yeah, but the 8.25's would need huuuuge spacers to fill things out, and anything more than 25mm here isn't certifiable. I'm on D2's, so they're slimmer than standard stuff the whole way. Next time I've got a wheel off I'll have a good look. They're such cool wheels, and cheap too.

I DID NOT BUY THESE WHEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was just messing around with the roommate's wheels while they were off his car for a couple hours. I'm still running the 9's

as far as weight, I honestly didn't pay attention to that, but they weren't any heavier
