Autotrader optimism: $16,900

Interesting...that's only 20 mins from me. If anybody is serious about buying this, PM me, and I might be able to go check it out. From the pics it looks to be in great shape, but $16k+ for a basically stock one leaves much to be answered in my opinion. Granted it's 2am on a Thurs. & I've been out drinking...haha

I just must not see it like most of you.

 

Lets say the car cost $18,000 in 1987. Thats about $34,500 in current money. So he wants about half what it originally cost and its got 10K miles.

 

What happens if you go to a car dealer and buy a 2009 with 10K miles on it? How much is that 2009 going to be compared to its original cost?

 

Really the car is being priced like a normal used car, Surprise! We've all become used to buying broken used up junk.

I see the theory - it is a nice new SQ even if it isn't a rare care and he tweaked it a little. I wish my car looked that good for the 2+ times I've paid for that one.
