Dad
Thats for heater core, good to have if windshield gets fogged up, can't use defroster without them. Dad

vbrad511
You can bypass it, but like DAD said, you'll have no heat or defrost inside. I ran the old Nova with no heat for many years. Really BITES in the winter.
jisleyjr
What were you planning on doing with the connection on the intake that is suppose to connect to that? Looking to spray coolant all over? Go buy a new hose for 16 bucks and hook it up properly to the intake manifold. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/GAT0/18821/02716.oap?year=1988&make=Chrysler&model=Conquest&vi=1062470&ck=Search_heater+hose_1062470_3281&keyword=heater+hoseOr this one:http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?R=NBH9807_0117274197

patra_is_here
well, you can't just leave it "unhooked" because you're spray engine coolant everywhere. at a minimum you need to make a bypass hose. at best, you just hook up the hoses like they are supposed to be. theres no benefit to bypassing the heater core. TexasQuest
What does that have to do with your a/c system delete? There needs to be a hose going from there to your intake manifold. I didn't touch the heater hoses when I deleted my a/c.....
Dred_85.5_TSI
If you don't need heat (don't drive the car in winter or when its cold) you can bypass the heater core. This also avoids potential leaks in the heater core.
JohnnyWadd
I think he was asking if he needs hoses connected the two brass fitting in his picture. Answer is no. But they should be hooked up on the manifold side hopefully that's not too obvious.
