DzNutz
Corporate B.S. Stupid bean counters. After all I done to help found the company and get it off the ground they decide it would be cheaper to let me go and promote someone else for $5 an hour less (which is true) but where is the loyalty. Corporate America dont give a poop. Its all about the numbers and nothing else. Worse yet were my store manager and operations manager who said "sorry, good luck". They wouldnt even back me up. Story of dismissal was my efficiency was under 80%. I was doin 30 hours billed labour in a 40 hour week. They didnt look at all the extra stuff I was in charge of doing around the shop along with building cars. So forget everything I have said about L2 and Lithia being good companies. They are corporate arses like the rest of them. I pour my heart and soul into L2 as a founding associate trying to get it off the ground with a good start and end up getting shafted. So I have copywrited all the wiring diagrams and such for their Rhino's I outfitted so they cant use it. Going in today to get copies of my personel file just to scare them a bit and keep them guessing. Anyway.... Sorry for the rant. Had to let it out a bit. Gonna be peeved about this for a bit I think. :fight:

DzNutz
Just a foot note to the 30 hours a week. I was the only one hitting that mark due to we had 4 or 5 cars a week to work on between 4 guys. They all still work there cause they are line techs making less than I did as the Senior Tech. emagdnim
Jobless % is up the past few months. Companies dont care anymore, and usually not looking to hire anyone anymore. It's a good thing gas is 3.45 a gallon, you wouldnt be able to drive and look for work. Once you get home you can eat your overpriced food. Minumum wage is still 6 something an hour. It makes sence on paper anyway ...

DzNutz
Yeah, I re injured my back a couple years ago causing a dismissal from the fire / rescue apparatus. Then this job came by and was awesome till production slowed down and the bean counters decided to try and cut costs i.e. me. Looking at a couple possabilities right now.... 1 is as a civi for the USAF in CO Springs as a light wheele maintenance supervisor and the other is my dream job..... Talking with Roush Industries about becoming a test driver / evaluator. Wish me lots of luck. Glad I took driving lessons out at the track and through the police departments driving classes. Its good to know people.

Robsweet87TSI
DZ I remember all of the advertising they were doing a while back. They were casting themselves as a different company with a whole new concept. Sorry to hear about that the bad news.
Fanta
Ouch, sorry to hear about your luck I've been job hunting since December almost... only problem is in my field, the only job I can get is one that pays $10 an hour and requires me to drive around at .40c per mile. That really doesn't cover the wear and tear, and gas on a car driving that much. Especially a Starion. All the other jobs I applied for, I got phone interviews, and even face to face interviews, but someone with more qualifications ( usually someone who shelled out $2000+ for certification papers, even though I know more stuff than some them.... ) - Craigslist is your friend But at this rate I might just give up and go work at McDonalds or something. Something is better than nothing, right?
DzNutz
Yes it was the Lithia Auto Group f'ers. Roush has a plant and testing facility in SE colorado. Although I would not hesitate to go to Detroit if need be. As for something is better than nothing, I dont know. I've never been one to use the system but...... We qualify for medicaid and food stamps now. Just that alone makes being a stay at home dad more profitable than working. Go figure.
