leesfer
Don't like the outdated dash, decided to go the route of Convette and create my own. Started with the center console: http://i.imgur.com/NR831H6.png http://i.imgur.com/897Wmka.png http://i.imgur.com/bY5I0PQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/k52oTaq.jpg

I am totally new to this, so it's really just messing up a lot before getting something that looks good Lots of trial and error and learning on my part throughout this project

Nice Going to pad the wood and cover it in some kind of material, not sure what yet. Going to vinyl wrap the aluminum in carbon fiber, I'm afraid leaving the aluminum exposed will show too many faults in my bends and scratches

And the clearcoat is very forgiving to any surface faults. A friend of mine does it. Check this link I posted on his behalf...the second video shows how it's done. I'm sure there's places local to you that do it as well. http://www.starquest...ro#entry1346461 Edited December 26, 2014 by NikoFab

leesfer
That hydrographic stuff looks pretty cool. Started to bend up sheet aluminum into place. Not very good at it though, will need to figure out a way to fix the larger dents in the metal then cover it with something http://i.imgur.com/MG6HADF.png
leesfer
Did the back-bend and cut a hole for the shifter and test fitted in the car http://i.imgur.com/XUwJXYN.png http://i.imgur.com/i89Oxen.png
Turbo Cary
Are you going to retain the factory climate control box or modify one from another car? If you use a different cars climate box with electronic controls, id suggest a Nissan titan heater core valve. Its electronic and would be easy to wire up. leesfer
Actually not going to be using climate control, but that's a good suggestion This is a a completely bare-bones track car only, plus I live in San Diego and our perfect weather doesn't really require climate control

Can you weigh everything taken out for reference? Unless you threw it all out.
leesfer
Sorry can't weigh anything since I have been throwing things away as I pull them out, don't have much room to work so I need to clear as much space as possible Planning on weighing the car when I am done to get a total weight though
