jszucs
Ill believe it when I see it. A great demo for them would be to put a little 2 once bottle of fuel in the car and run it. Something just dosn't make sence though. You need more E85 then gas for the same amount of power so how is that even possible?????

In Brazil we run 100% ethanol for over 30 years and the benfits are awesome.. But we make our Ethanol from sugarcane, a very easily renewable resource than corn with no effect on food crop prices... kozmikkroozer
I doubt cars like this will ever see mass production - oil companies will make sure of that. More likely they will buy out the patent owners and bury the technology. Edited June 2, 2009 by kozmikkroozer
Shelby
you'd think one of the big 3 or one of the little 3 now,,, would have pick'd up on this to save their rears if it was true

More likely they will buy out the patent owners and bury the technology. no doubt....the only way it will fly is if the government or oil company makes the cars themselves. Then it will be only like 5 more miles per gallon than what we get now in cars. Also Why do you think that all the "green" or economical cars look so stupid.... like that honda that has the back wheels half covered? So no one will want to drive them ('cept newbie nerds). So they keep on making the guzzlers.

scooterh72
Don't you think the technology is ALREADY out there for higher MPG's but the inventor and/or the product has been buried?
BrazilBoy
Don't you think the technology is ALREADY out there for higher MPG's but the inventor and/or the product has been buried? For simply higher MPG is the way to go, burns cleaner than hybrid and is more easily renewable...heck VW right now has jettas that can get 60 mpg on the hwy and 55 city..The new Smart Diesel gets 86mpg... Zack_Morris
If this isn't legit, then why have they been featured on news programs like CNN, NBC, etc? Maybe I'm just being naive, but I really don't think that they would have gotten so much exposure for a false claim. In order to receive all this attention they must have had SOME sort of documentation to back up their claims.

Zack_Morris
Hey Zackary, just cause you are on TV doesn't make you real. I understand that, but if you are so convinced it's a fake, why not buy one of their engine packages and test it for yourself? If it doesn't return the MPG they claim, make them give you your money back. If they won't then sue for false advertising.
Shelby
the hard part for me is the 400 hp ,, it's a proven fact to get the same hp as gasoline you need to use nearly 160% as much E85 , now how can you do that and still get 110 mpg if they would have said 110 mpg and 150 hp i think it may be more beleaveable but don't get me wrong if they do get 100 mpg that'd be super or even 80 mpg that would tell the government screw you we aren't gona continue to take the hogwash you are handing us
Lusion972
Brazil Primo - you know I am going to have to get on you for this. You flamed President Obama for his new restrictions yet praise this idea because of the MPG it gets...how is this different from what our current president wants? Now this HP2g has been around for a while and the company is turning out a great result. That one company has ordered 2k engines for their cars...now, he is getting 100 mpg by not stomping on it or going over 80 mph, he is driving it slow which gets higher mpg. But if your going to run it like a sports car it will get less mpg but still higher then what it is currently available. I hope it catches on and available for others to get in on

Good Morning, Miss Bliss ...Don't get me wrong I am not convinced that it doesn't work. I usually believe what I read if they have all the claims and testing and then I try it for myself and if it doesn't seem to be the case then so be it. Heck yeah I would buy an engine from them. Shelby.....I have been using e85 in my quest for over a year...and i use about 18-20% richer tune than 93 octane unleaded and I can run at 23 lbs boost all day long no issues....but no the power just doesn't seem to be the same though....it seems weak for 20-23 lbs. mstieg
they make the guzzlers cause they make money with every gal you buy you buy less they make less, not gona happen DING DING DING! - Couldn't say it better with less words. And yes, there is a fine line between paranoia and being niave. When unbiased info is hard to come by that line gets real jaded. the hard part for me is the 400 hp ,, it's a proven fact to get the same hp as gasoline you need to use nearly 160% as much E85 , now how can you do that and still get 110 mpg if they would have said 110 mpg and 150 hp i think it may be more beleaveable but don't get me wrong if they do get 100 mpg that'd be super or even 80 mpg that would tell the government screw you we aren't gona continue to take the hogwash you are handing us I wouldn't believe this myself if I haven't already seen over 350 hp on my own Starion running 93 pump gas at fairly low boost. Keep in mind this is on a 20+ y/o ancient design with SOC, 8 valves! So, yeah E85 is different, but there's so much innovation out there, 400hp is no longer impossible by any stretch. Now toss in some type of electric/hydrogen alternative in addition to a killer hp E85 engine, and you get great milage running that on highway, then it switches to the hp means at the stoplight. Not like they're getting 110mpg WHILE hitting 400hp city/race driving? It's possible IMO, but will not see mass production anytime soon....in the US at least. Technology
What a joke. I say it's totally fake just based on the website. There are no facts, just claims and the links are worthless, I had to close it before I threw the computer out the window. lets see here: a v8 engine. Talk about a model of inefficiency. 400hp on e85. So, it probably has 9:1 compression and a cam upgrade 110mpg. Yeah right. on e85, which needs about 30% more fuel per part of air than gasoline. You never had me. You never had your car. Now me and the mad scientist have to rebuild the engine you just blew.

PDX87Starion
Has anyone figured out what "technology" they are selling? Are they selling whole engines? fuel management? Kits? or what? The only thing I can think of is a much much leaner hotter burn durring cruise because of the high octain of e85 and maybe other improvements to fend off detonation or a meltdown. ?? But yeah with 400hp its gonna burn alot of fuel when the hammer is down. Also are they turbo or supercharged? Found this: "The specifics are top secret but by building an engine that runs on just ethanol they’ve created an engine that can run at a higher compression ratio, creating more power using less fuel."
