  1. Well it is time to call an end to my conquest experiment. LOL. Just purchase another Harley and I'm thinning out my toys. Cars located in Dickinson ND. Im about 8 hours west of Minneapolis and 3 hours north of Rapid City SD. I have two 86's that need to go. One is a running project car and a parts car. Running car details: 88K in the body and transmission. Fully rebuilt engine with almost all new internals purchased from dad. pistons, bearings, camshaft, jet valve delete, .020 over. balance shaft delete, new oil pump and all new timing chain components. new trilogy injectors, clutch, master and slave cylinder. I also have a full set of 101's hardpipes too. New walbro fuel pump I have a full set of rims that are near perfect that arent on the car that I was going to polish as well. The set on the red car now are pretty decent but the set on the black car had curb rash etc. Nice cloth interior. Most of the small parts are new as well such as vacuum advance, sensors etc. Car runs pretty decent when warmed up. Valve cover is leaking near the back and I think this is because of the powder coated cover. Still trying to get all the air out of the clutch system as well. Solid turbo with an extra one that has shaft play in it. I also have another transmission that was rebuilt by the previous owner however mustve been put back together wrong because it wont shift correctly. I have over my asking price just in the engine alone. I need the space and must sell. If I dont get my price I will start parting out but until then this is a package deal. Please feel free to email me with any questions (scooterh72@hotmail.com) or text me at 701-690-9922. Pictures are located here. Just taken today... http://s432.photobucket.com/albums/qq50/scooterh72/Conquests%20for%20sale/ Thanks for looking. Scott
  2. My guess would be for the abs brake lines? going to the abs module?
  3. Im trying to figure out what is going on with your right hand at this moment....lol Congrats !!!!
  4. Just for fun did a search on dodge conquest. There actually was a page dedicated to our cars...however there were only 4 people liking this. I made it five. Lets see if we can bump that up a little. Edit: searched starion and found that had 201 likes....what the heck? lol
  5. Im a service writer at the local dodge dealer here in town. Have access to helicoils and lifts if needed. Will certainly do this the right way.
  6. Looks like I need to pull the manifold.....grrrr Thanks for the input guys.
  7. My manifold is stress relieved so would this matter? Should a guy remove the manifold or can this be done with it still on the car? Thanks again.
  8. I have a stripped stud on the exhaust side. The cylinder head is stripped. I thought I had it fixed but I have an exhaust leak and this is where it is coming from. Stud is closest to the firewall on the bottom of the manifold. Should a guy re-thread larger or can you use something like JB weld to fix it? Would like to know what you guys have done. Thanks. Scott
  9. So I probably still have some vacuum leaks....... The car wants to cough and sputter until it warms up a bit. Is this normal. I do have a new cts. Car will idle up around 1500 rpms when first starting. Thanks again for the help.
  10. Found a pretty good vacuum leak that I fixed and the car doesnt cough and sputter any more but I have noticed one thing. When Im driving say at 30mph it feels like the car is surging forward. Not very smooth at all. I also noticed that when I was setting timing, the timing mark actually moves, jumping backwards (retards I think) a little while idling. Could this be caused by a worn out distributor? Vacuum advance is good. Your guys thoughts?
  11. How much just for the eibachs?
  12. Just a couple pics. Have hard pipes for the engine that I still need to powercoat. Wanted to make sure it was running good before installing them. Tackling the rims this weekend.
  13. All of that has been done! Did this the right way. All new fuel filters. Flushed gas tank. New fuel pump. I have alot of money in this car and am planning on spending alot more over the next couple years including a new San Marino yellow paint job.
  14. Well it has been a long two years with my two cars. First bought a black 86 with the engine torn down and in dire need of a rebuild. Had engine rebuilt and put back into car only to need a transmission. In my search for a transmission came across another 86 with half the miles of my black one and a way better body. Have transplanted the drive train into the other car and finally got it running decent. The car had sat for 9 plus years. Took it around the block a couple times this evening. Had to cut is short though. Passed a cop and I dont have any insurance or licensed it yet. DOH! :) :)
  15. Man if it wouldnt cost me so much in gas I would come get this car from you.......grrrr.
  16. Both of my light switch panels are broken and I need to replace them. (ones on sides of the instrument cluster) How do you remove the cluster or the hood to get to the screws that attaches the switches? I looked in the FSM but it was pretty vague. Not wanting to break anything when trying to remove. Thanks.
  17. Must be air in the system then. I have all new clutch components.
  18. It can do this with a new clutch? What is the fix? Guess I've never heard of this.
  19. Just installed a new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. I also have a new clutch on the fresh rebuilt engine. My question is that I only have to let out the clutch pedal about an inch and then the clutch starts to grab. Shouldnt there be more play? Is this normal or does it mean that I still have air in the system?
  20. Sirius channels 20 (octane) and 23 (hair nation) My radio in my truck is on one or the other at ALL times.
  21. Looking for some patch panels to fix the notorious rust spots on these cars. The lower rear quarters right behind the doors. Need both sides Let me know what you have.... Scott
  22. Actually I feel a bit of a dumb @$$..but whatever huh? lol At least I can admit it.
  23. Ya know...I was just reading this topic and it struck me to double and triple check my wires. I've been struggling with this car to get it to idle/run right since I bought it. (car was in parts and engine has since been rebuilt) I decided to go out to the car and check the position of the wires. Well they were hooked up right, however the #1 plug wire wasnt snug on the plug. Popped it on and it idle near perfect!!!! (sorry this is a big deal to me) I was at the point of almost giving up with this thing and I have alot more work that I want to do to it. Now for some fresh plugs, oil, tps reset, new injector clips, vacuum lines and might just get some plug wires too. Man I LOVE this forum!!!! Scott
