Been throwing around the idea of swapping a 5.0 in my 87 conquest. Not to clear on what 302 to put in there. I will be wanting efi just cause it will be a daily driver and it gets pretty cold in Minnesota. T5 also. What years did ford make a good 302? I also will be looking for a engine transmition combo just to save on not having to buy extra stuff (flywheel, pressure plate, ect). Been looking on craigslist and already have found some pretty good deals. Just need to know what I should go with.

I have a 1g galant vr4 mas with K&N lid and plug. $75 shipped   Holset HX 35 with the 8 blade wheel has dsm bullseye housing and oil feed fitting. Turbo is tight and doesn't burn oil. Has around 10k miles on it. $550 shipped  

Lets say I have a 12a compressor housing bored out for a 16g compressor wheel. Could I just buy a 16g DSM compressor housing and switch it with the starquest one and not have any fitment issues if it was for the same size 16g compressor wheel? This way I could have a larger compressor housing for air flow over the 12a one easily if I was able to just swap it.
