    '84 Starion LE 5 Speed Black/Maroon Int. 95% Complete $500

    By theastronaut,
I bought three of these within one week and need to thin the herd... It's a '84 5 speed, black with maroon cloth. As far as I can tell, the only thing missing is the radiator and rear deck cover. The interior could be fairly nice with some detailing, apart from the faded seats. Maybe a good donor for a maroon interior swap? The body is pretty straight but rusty and the passengers door is smashed in. Was supposedly "running when parked" ten years ago... No title, for parts only. Great for

    A/C Experts Expansion Valve Issue???

    By jonboyb,
A/C on the 84 flatty went from working perfectly to not working at all last summer like the flip of a switch and time has come to get back on the issue. This flatty has mechanical controls....not electric console and vacumn actuators.   Had a shop look at it and they can't find anything obviously wrong. Charge is good, compressor kicks in, blend works correctly inside car, and when running, one underhood A/C line gets hot while the other gets cold. I haven't run it long enough to test my high

So LED lighting isn't more efficient than fluorescent lighting....

I was looking into LED lighting for the garage and I was surprised to find it was less efficient. For example I have T12 fixtures now, 2 bulbs at 40 watts producing 2600 lumens each bulb. I could switch to T8 fixtures and have x2 32 watt bulbs producing 2950 lumens each bulb for about $12 a fixture. Or I can get an LED fixture producing 6k lumens but using 75 watts and costing $340.   Am I missing something here or are LEDs really no better than fluorescent?       T8 fixture http://www.homede
