Update:   The car started for me yesterday and has a loud knock, sounds like a spun bearing.   New price- $750         This has been my daily driver for the past year until it overheated last Friday. Probably a blown head gasket, engine turns over but won't start. Not interested in fixing it at this point. This is a very original car, no accident damage or rust. Original paint and interior. what i have done   Alt taken out an tested its ok so they say\ replaced engine block ground and the ground under the batery tray. replaced the lead wire off the alt to the battery with 4ga welding cable replaced all the ground wires with 6ga welding cable. new bat replaced all the fusable links and the conectors with new wires and a fuse block. grounded the alt to the ground block   what it does before i did all that it would not hold 14v with the AC and the lights on now it will however it will
