SDS thread
By Boosted_One,
Figure I'd start up an SDS thread up...
I did some rough mock ups today for my SDS EM3E. I located a good place for the crank sensor. I found there are 2 bolts on the timing cover right next to the alternator that are vacant.
One thing is the sensor magnets need to be mounted on the back side of the ALTERNATOR pulley as the PS pulley has no clearance behind it due to the crank pulley recesing into the timing cover. If you ever change the PS belt your going to need to remove the sensor.
Synthetic?

By Ratmtattat,
I would like to know who is running synthetic oil and how it affects performance and other issues with the car. I myself would like to run Royal Purple (mostly just because I've seen the improvement in other people's vehicles and also because I can get hooked up with some) and see some easy, cheap improvement on power. I only have 84000 miles on the engine, if that helps. Any advice is welcome. Thanks
Jason
please explain shocks, struts, & coilovers
By starquestbd,
i'm not positive on all of my suspension knowledge. are shocks and struts basically the same thing? if so, then you don't need shocks AND struts on any vehicle, right? also, are coilovers just adjustable shocks/struts? am i correct that the starquests have struts with coil springs on all four corners? please forgive my stupidity....i'm trying to learn.
thanks,
Brandon
tire size after lowering springs??
By starquestbd,
i'm pondering KYB replacement struts and maybe a lowering spring set such as the Suspension Tech 1" kit. anybody here done anything similiar? what did you use? can i stick with stock tire size if i lower it an inch or will i have to go lower profile? what are the chances of scrubbing on the front if i'm running an 8" rim?
thanks,
Brandon
