this may be stupid question, but can rear axles be rebuild
JAinsworth replied to sittin-sideways's topic in Virtual Mechanic
This is a car site. There are members here who don't write or spell correctly but are helluva mechanics. Be careful who you knock, that illiterate person may be the one with your solution, but probably will not offer it to you now. Jimmy -
Get an alignment... end up with a blown headgasket...

If there isn't a lien against the car, they have to pay you and not the shop. Jimmy -
He can edit it. Go to the post, click the edit button, then click the use full editor button. Should be able to edit the title. I don't think you can delete it though. Jimmy

It has been a long posted fact, that regardless of idle mileage, it is recommended that you shut your car down at long red lights, idling in congested traffic, etc. Our cars are no different in that aspect. Jimmy

lol John, you did that, I guess my question should be directed at the OP. I can't fathom letting a car idle for an hour, I've never had to live in those conditions. Didn't mean anything by it. Jimmy

If you know it is going to snow and/or ice, shouldn't you already be prepared with a full tank of gas? Sort of like here in GA, if people hear it may snow, they stock up on bread, milk, and bottled water. I mean empty the stores, why, it never lasts more than a couple of days? Jimmy

Who wants there car to idle for an hour at a time is all I got to say Jimmy

I don't worry about it, I have nothing worth taking. Jimmy -
Looks like y'all had a great time. Love the picture of the stingray. We went to the aquarium in ATL. and unfortunately witnessed first hand a stingray vs. a hammerhead shark. It died and settled right next to us in the tunnel. http://imageshack.us/a/img686/151/166xs.jpg Pic of Britt before a NASCAR race in ATL. http://imageshack.us/a/img29/9662/brittandjimmy.jpg

It also connects to the cruise control. Jimmy -
What he said, it cannot be properly checked while still in car. Jimmy

Tom, it would help in giving advice if you would update your profile and signature with the year and any mods to your car. Different years have different set-ups. Jimmy

Stock don't look too bad either, or polished lips with black spokes. Jimmy

Seriously Braden, take the opportunity to travel, especially on projects such as a new plant in a country that has potential added value to Circle A. The start-up team if a successful one, is remembered. Good for your career for sure. Jimmy

I'd like to see that photoshop. I like that idea. Jimmy

If you watched the whole video, they can hook the metal mechanism even if you don't have a rope. Stopped it all with a zip tie. Jimmy
